The wild Articuno responded with a furious Blizzard, unleashing a freezing storm that threatened to bury everything in ice. Snow and hail whipped violently through the air.
Mega Articuno countered gracefully. With her new Steel typing and enhanced defenses, she tanked the Blizzard with minimal damage. Her wings glowed as she fired a powerful Flash Cannon mixed with Ice Beam, creating a devastating Steel-Ice beam that pierced through the wild Articuno's attack.
The wild bird screeched in pain as the beam struck true, freezing parts of its wings while the Steel energy disrupted its balance. It retaliated with Ice Shard barrages, sending sharp icicles flying toward Mega Articuno.
Ash commanded calmly, "Articuno, use Reflect then Freeze-Dry!"

The wild Zapdos fired a massive Thunderbolt, trying to overwhelm its counterpart.
Mega Zapdos stood firm, absorbing much of the electricity thanks to its Ground typing. With a thunderous cry, it retaliated with a boosted Thunder amplified by the Electric Tower item. The sky lit up as a colossal lightning bolt struck the wild Zapdos, sending it tumbling through the air.
Ash commanded, "Zapdos, use Drill Peck combined with Earthquake!"
Mega Zapdos dove like a missile, spinning with steel-hard beak while channeling Ground energy. The impact created a localized Earthquake that shook the wild Zapdos violently.
The wild Zapdos tried to fight back with Thunder Wave and Discharge, but Mega Zapdos's superior power and new typing allowed it to push through. It used Agility to increase its speed dramatically, then unleashed a devastating Thunderbolt barrage that left the wild Zapdos scorched and grounded.
The wild Zapdos attempted Sky Attack, charging with immense power, but Mega Zapdos met it with Thunder Punch, the electrified fist colliding with the diving bird in a massive explosion. The impact sent the wild Zapdos crashing down.

The wild Moltres attacked with a roaring Flamethrower.
Mega Moltres countered with an even stronger Heat Wave, the flames empowered by the crown. The two firestorms collided, but Mega Moltres's superior power pushed through, engulfing the wild Moltres.
Ash commanded, "Moltres, use Psychic to control the flames and Air Slash!"
Mega Moltres's eyes glowed with Psychic energy. It seized control of the surrounding fire, shaping it into burning blades, then combined it with Air Slash to create fiery cutting winds. The wild Moltres was battered relentlessly.

Ash looked up at his three legendary birds with a proud, warm smile. He raised his hand and called out to them. "You all did amazingly! I'm so proud of each and every one of you. Thank you for fighting so hard for me and for everyone here."
The three birds descended gracefully, nuzzling against Ash with deep affection. Their victory cries softened into contented sounds as they basked in their trainer's praise.

Melody watched the scene from a short distance, a strange sour feeling twisting in her stomach. She couldn't quite name it a mix of envy and something warmer she didn't want to admit.

Ash's own legendary bird trio Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres followed behind Lugia, flying in perfect formation like a royal escort.
Lugia's calm, powerful psychic voice resonated in Ash's mind, and those close enough could also hear it faintly.
"Chosen One… Ash Ketchum. You have my deepest thanks. You have helped restore order to the world. The harmony between fire, ice, and lightning has been preserved once more."
Lugia paused for a moment, its head tilting slightly as if sensing something. Its eyes softened with surprise and warmth.
"I feel it… an egg of my own kind. Similar to me. It rests in your bag."
Ash blinked, then reached into his backpack and carefully took out the incubator containing the glowing Lugia egg. He held it gently in his hands.

Lugia then spread its massive wings. "Come. Let us fly together one last time."
Ash, Pikachu, and Eevee held on as Lugia soared into the sky. Ash's bird trio flew gracefully beside them Articuno on the left, Zapdos and Moltres on the right creating a breathtaking formation of legendary Pokémon against the clearing sky.
From below, Ash's girls, Melody, Tracey, and the islanders watched in awe as the group flew across the horizon. Misty, Sabrina, Daisy, and Giselle waved with tears of joy and pride in their eyes.
Suddenly, a giant stream of water rose out of the ocean the legendary Beast of the Sea. Lugia sang a powerful, calming song, and the massive water entity responded, swirling peacefully before vanishing back into the depths, its power tamed once more.
One by one, the legendary birds returned to their islands. Moltres flew toward Fire Island, Zapdos toward Lightning Island, and Articuno toward its frozen domain. The balance of the world had been restored.
Lugia gently brought Ash, Pikachu, and Eevee back to the shrine, where the girls were waiting with open arms. The baby Lugia stayed nestled safely in Ash's arms, already bonding with its new family.
The long, legendary ordeal had finally come to an end.

As Lugia disappeared into the horizon with one final, graceful cry, the sky above Shamouti Island finally cleared completely. Ash stood on the shrine steps, the baby Lugia nestled contentedly in his arms. The Silver Wing he had received from Lugia shimmered softly in his pocket. A profound sense of peace washed over him.
