Chapter 12 - Episode: 4 [The Salvators]

Intiverse, they are not common, capable of growing to the point of reaching a level that they couldn't imagine.

As they defeat monsters, they absorb their power and begin to grow stronger. It was a unique thing for humans, who had seen sentries with only limitations. This made them curious. [1]

What if we try to replicate the power?

They began the experiment on the abductees, and in them, they have found a fragment of hope. Albeit, the power of their imaginative thoughts hasn't surfaced high enough to reach the light. They are still trying hard, hard enough to not care for their own civilians.

At the same time, they saw no hope in the end of these cracks; this put them in great stress, and the conclusion was simple. Create your own little powerful human society and shift them to another planet.

With the warp and monsters giving them all the resources they needed, they lacked nothing except insight into the perilous place of the other planet.

The problem didn't end with the warp appearing; it was from the destruction of places where their sustenance was coming from.

"Ten years—that's all it will take them to leave this place." Calten said, leaning against the wall.

He was invited by Betend, and so was Goun. Betned at the end was stressing out when he learnt Calten might stay with us for a few days; not only him, but Goun had made a similar request.

"But why you? Didn't the organization provide you with a house and other things?"Bentend said.

Goun stroked his own head and looked as if he had heard it wrong. "What do you mean? House?"

He had no house; it was a truth. I could tell.

"The organisation that the government controls had long announced a house and wealth for intiverses, who have been surviving and protecting us. That did enrage many people."

Goun wanly smiled; he really had no clue about what Bentend said, or perhaps he had a sense of betrayal.

"I don't know; I haven't seen the news. Perhaps it was only for the real intiverse. In truth, I'm non-intiverse."

A useless non-intiverse. I thought in my mind he had no power of his own; rather, from the previous day, it was me who led him with my power.

I still waited patiently to ask him about the three-headed dragon mark on his nape. It was clear that he had some relation to my master.

"Why don't we all four make a team?" Bentend excitedly said, the sparks of happiness lingering in his eyes.

That was out of nowhere.

"No," I retorted. "I would have it better with two." My voice was calm.

A group of four sounded fine to me, but rather it was the ambition they followed. Each of us had a different goal in mind.

I wished to find my master; Bentend just wanted to help people out, and Goun wished to get stronger, and at least for Calten, I wasn't certain what he wished for, but in truth, it must be related to the Group's goal.

Aside, it seemed suspicious of him suddenly joining us. He wanted to observe us from close.

I looked at Goun and asked, "How did you get that mark on your back?"

"You mean this?" He whirled and pointed at the three-headed dragon.

"Yes."

"The mark has been running down in our family. My grandfather had it, then my father, and now me and my sister have it."

It remained a mystery what this mark even meant. I had asked my master several times, but not once did he give me a clear explanation.

"Why did you try to gain intiverse power through an imaginary process?" I asked.

It would be reasonable; even if you were to start with the weakest point with intiverse growth factor, you could have grown stronger over time. For this reason, he must have tried to achieve it. However, it seems I was wrong.

"I never chose it; it happened on its own."

"What do you mean?" I asked. How could it happen on its own? From Bentend's explanation, it shouldn't have been like that.

"The second I entered the imaginary world, I only stood there and watched as everything unfolded before me. That's why."

Bentend was the first one to ask him, "Not even facing the arduous challenges?"

He shook his head; this startled not only Bentend but also Calten.

Calten placed a hand on his mouth, affecting a contemplation, then he spoke, "That's not only strange, but from what we have observed, this has never happened before. Have you told anyone else about it?"

"Nobody." He firmly said.

"Whatever the reason, it wouldn't have worked even if you had done it manually." Calten said.

"Why is that?" asked Goun.

The intiverses were growing because there was a force that had granted them power.

"Like demi-gods or something."

Since humans don't have someone who can grant them power, they try to obtain what intiverse via the imaginary process. Which isn't capable of granting the necessary thing, such as a demi-god for the growth factor and a well-guaranteed power.

Making the people who tried to become intiverse via such a method usually fails, and they remain mostly human.

"That's only a theory, but from what I have experienced while staying with a few of the intiverse. It could sense a deep presence."

His theory can be right; I was able to transfer my energy to Goun, and even now, I could feel it within him, as it hadn't faded away entirely; half of it was still in him.

Goun's stomach rumbled; he held it and made that pity face.

Bentend chuckled and thought to get us something online; it didn't take long before the food arrived.

Only if my world were this advanced; consequently, I would have been captured much faster.

While we were eating, Bentend asked Goun, "You said you have a sister? Why don't you bring it here?"

"She's in the orphanage."

Just like I was.

He continued speaking, "We lost our parents naturally, and my uncle, the one person we had, died while protecting us from the monsters."

At that time, Calten suggested, "Why don't we visit the orphanage with you tomorrow?"

Goun was reluctant, but he only gave a nod.

[1] They don't take powers of the monster; rather, they take energy from the monsters and level up their own abilities, strenght, speed. what they already have.
