Then, turning to my mom, I said, "Mom, could you babysit Lilith for the night? Janice and the rest of us are helping Dee3 with the funeral arrangements."
"For the entire night?" Mary asked, eyeing her husband. Surprisingly, she didn't seem to have a problem with babysitting someone else's child for the night, but she couldn't just decide without checking with her husband first. Seeing this, a part of me was worried about my parent's marriage.
"What kind of funeral takes an entire night, not that I am complaining. But where is she going to sleep?" Alwin glared at his son, as if asking, 'Young man, have you lost your mind?'
