"Let us take out the other Curse Terrorist first and save the Curse Caster for last," I declared, knowing that nobody here except Delores was willing to bear the possible consequences that would follow from trying to kill the Curse Caster. They could be heartless when needed, but right now it wasn't necessary. Reinforcements were on the way; they just needed to stall.
Matthews, of all people, wasn't willing to decide on this, which should be enough to tell one why these guys never entered the 'World of Curses' or played for the C.I.B. and not the other team. Believe me, with their curse abilities, each of them would be welcomed into the other team with open arms and handsome rewards. Yet, they stayed with the side that wouldn't hesitate to use them as disposable pawns.
I guess they were the definition of 'Good Guys' in my new world.
