I called Ranni from the car. I had personally sent the driver away to pick her up, and as expected, she was en route with Kay and their other friend and our classmate, Lyla, whom I hadn't seen in a while.
"I can't believe we get to fly on a private plane..." Tetsuya was restless as we pulled up to the airport.
"It's much more comfortable... better food," I said, a little distracted.
We got out and I kept my eyes open for their car. Not here yet...
"Are you sure we shouldn't have gone to the school first?" asked Luna.
She and her twin occasionally said something mean to Tetsuya, who was a little confused.
"Remy called ahead. They know we're going separately. We meet with them inside the base when they land," I said, helping the driver unload the truck.
A set of soldiers wearing Japanese uniforms walked closer and informed me they were our escorts while at the airport.
"We'll be near, Lord Avesta."
