When night fell, an eerie silence took place… The creatures did not fall asleep as soon as the sun set, but they seemed to fall into a state of reverence, it was as though they worshipped the encroaching darkness, worshipped the death of all sounds.
All, without exception, would grow utterly quiet, making travelling at night for the uninfected survivors especially dangerous, there was no telling if, in the dark, they wouldn't stumble or bump into a horrid creature that would be ready to tear them apart into pieces.
This silence forced the survivors to quiet down as well, as if they made too much sounds, it was likely that they would attract undesired attention, even those who had taken refuge in areas controlled by the military or underground bunkers did not dare being noisy.
