The first plan of the dirt-bloods wasn't a total success, the humans were able to notice that something was wrong about some of the reanimated monsters and reacted swiftly, greatly minimising the damages that would have occurred had they stayed none the wiser until the end, but it was a total failure either for the dirt-blooded army, many of the expendable weapons of the citadel had been utterly destroyed, leaving the humans with less means than before and with a distrust of the remaining modified creatures.
In simple terms, the humans would now have to participate more greatly in the skirmishes to make-up for the sudden drop in their stocks of, 'automated weaponry', but that was still far from enough for the dirt-bloods to have a clear shot at victory, as much as this could all be twisted to mention good things about what had happened, ultimately, their commander knew that the operation had been a failure and that there would be a need to use one of their secret means.
