The modified dirt-bloods were an exceptional invention and advancement, but unfortunately, they weren't exactly adapted to deal with the current situation.
They had naturally been made with the intent of being useful on the battlefield, in the scenario Vijudius and the others had to deal with, these creatures served basically no purpose, their limited intelligence and reliance on orders meant that within the dense jungle, they would be even simpler targets than the regular human soldiers.
So, as it stood, the situation remained the same but at least, if a fight were to break out, they would have access to these powerful meatshields, as that was essentially the main purpose of their existence, using enemy troops to create ally troops that could be killed and destroyed in the place of an elf or human.
