Attacks by the ghostly warriors were becoming more frequent, and what was worse, was that there seemed to be no particular pattern to it, sometimes, a day was punctuated by several of them, and other times, entire weeks could pass without a single sighting of them.
Furthermore, each attack occurred in completely different places every time, it was as though the apparitions could manifest anywhere they wanted, at any time.
The dirt-blooded force had suffered great losses, entire armies had fallen, areas were left without proper presence, allowing the humans and elves that had once been pressured into staying put to act if they so desired, but truly, it seemed as though the dirt-bloods had an endless amount of soldiers at their disposal.
Following the massacres, new armies seemed to pop out of nowhere, arriving in even greater numbers than before, ready to claim the lands where their predecessors had fallen without fear, still standing armies were bolstered as well.
