Kieran's POV
I took an extra two days off from work and spent them with Xander stuck by my side. It was surprisingly easy and my boss didn't even complain much. Something about me deserving it. As for Alice's mother, she reached out to me. The salon was closed for now.
I still had no idea what was going on with her but I was grateful for the break.
Xander barely left me alone for a second. Not like I was complaining though. I loved it but I knew it was also because he was worried that either his mom or Sabrina would come for me again.
But what he didn't know was that, if they did, I would be ready this time.
He told me all I needed to hear. I decided I was going to fight for us.
The thought alone was supposed to be scary but if anything, I felt empowered.
I was tired of being pushed around when I didn't even choose this fate.
The moon goddess placed me right where I was and I was going to fight to stay there.
