Aksai's Spirit cultivation technique guided his Spirit essence in two ways: sometimes warm like the sun, sometimes cold like the moon.
Lightning, too, had both natures.
It was so extremely yang that it almost looped around and showed signs of yin. Just like a flame so hot it felt cold. Just like an ice born from an element so pure that it felt hot to the touch.
Aksai let his mind drift over these ideas — the sun and the moon, heat and cold, yin and yang, the way the wood element needed both to grow. As he thought, the next lightning strike hit him. And then another. And another.
Each bolt slammed into him harder than the last, making his body shake. His muscles tore, his skin cracked, and his bones rang from the shock.
But each time, he used the Sun Moon Duality to push Spirit essence through the wounds, healing them bit by bit. The liquid Spirit essence inside him flowed faster and thicker, as if reacting to the lightning itself.
