"Knock, knock!"
Susan stood outside Xiang Yang's office, hesitated for a few minutes, and then reached out to knock on the door.
"Come in!"
She pushed the door open, placed her resignation letter on Xiang Yang's desk.
He picked up the resignation letter, sighed, and said, "Susan, I will pass your resignation letter to Mr. Lu. I hope you take care of yourself!"
"Thank you! I'll be going now!"
Susan gave a smile that was sadder than crying, turned away from the office, returned to her seat, and began to pack her personal belongings.
She didn't have many belongings, so she finished packing in a few minutes. Standing up, she held the small box, took one last look at the seat she'd occupied for five years, and stepped into the elevator.
"Why did Susan suddenly resign?"
"I don't know!"
"What happened?"
A few junior secretaries were chattering, Wang Xinyuan knew what it was about, but she didn't speak up to tell them.
