Arriving at Quan Corporation, stepping out of the car, Quan Tianyou moved forward holding Su Liuying's hand as they walked toward the lobby. She felt a bit uncomfortable, wanting to shake off his hand.
"Liuying, what's wrong?"
Quan Tianyou stopped, turned his head to look at her, and his hand still tightly gripped hers, preventing her from shaking it off.
"Tianyou, I'm here to work. If you hold my hand like this when going in, how will others see me?"
Su Liuying's expression was awkward; she didn't want people gazing at her with judgmental eyes on her first day at work.
"Mrs. Quan, why do you care how others see you?"
Quan Tianyou looked amused at Su Liuying, "You are my wife. It's perfectly natural for me to hold my wife's hand. Why worry about others' stares?"
"Oh dear, what I mean is, I don't want others to think I'm working at Quan Corporation because of my background!"
