I defiantly started arguing with the neighbor.
"That's right, whether you've been unfaithful or not, it's none of our business to say, we just think Xia Jing is a good girl and don't want a man like you to be with her."
"You..." Zhang Zhentian was so angry he didn't know what to say.
Xia Jing couldn't listen any longer, she flung the door open.
"Uncle and Auntie, thank you for standing up for me, I'm really moved, but let me handle this situation myself, sorry for the trouble!" Xia Jing bowed to the neighbors and turned, dragging Zhang Zhentian inside.
I assumed Xia Jing letting me in meant she wasn't angry anymore, so I quickly said to her, "Xia Jing, I knew you were the best, thank you for forgiving me, can we hug?"
I thickened my skin as I smiled at Xia Jing.
Xia Jing slapped Zhang Zhentian's hand away and said, "Zhentian, did you forget what I said?"
