Gu Xiaonuan felt hungrier the more she lay there, but she was tossing and turning, too furious with Si Yuchen to sleep.
Unable to fall asleep and feeling the hunger from not having eaten dinner, Gu Xiaonuan felt like she would starve to death before she managed to fall asleep.
"I can't stand it, I must check it out."
She needed to check the kitchen to see if there was anything she could make do with, at least enough to half-fill her stomach.
It was already midnight at eleven o'clock. Gu Xiaonuan quietly slipped out of the bedroom, tiptoed downstairs, with the kitchen as her obvious target.
Seeing the kitchen right in front of her, and the three-door fridge beckoning, the curve of her lips revealed her current smug and excited mood.
