Chapter 168: Peeping Is Not a Crime (Part 1)

He found it strange. There was no reason that tattletale Xia Weiwei would be the Little Angel Fairy. Thinking it over, he added her again, writing "Brother-in-law" as the request note.

He sent it with a hint of expectation, staring at the screen.

But within three seconds, it was rejected again. Damn. Zhang Yang realized he must've gotten the wrong person. Who would've thought Xia Weiwei was the one using the nickname Little Angel Fairy instead of Xu Danying.

How shameless could she be? She was obviously the snitchy, bratty flower vase type.

Since Little Angel Fairy wasn't Xu Danying but Xia Weiwei, Zhang Yang lost interest immediately. He was about to add the one named Cold-Faced Lady, but then sweat broke out—Xu Danying, why would you pick a name like that? What part of you is cold-faced?

Just as he was about to add her, he got a new message request. Checking it, he found it was from the same Little Angel Fairy who'd just rejected him twice.

He sighed in relief. Guess he'd been wrong—it was probably Xu Danying half-asleep earlier, rejecting him by mistake, and now she'd realized it and re-added him.

After he accepted, she immediately sent a message. Zhang Yang opened it—and froze. The tone wasn't friendly at all.

"Zhang Yang, how the hell did you get my QQ number? What are you plotting?"

Zhang Yang frowned. Wait, this wasn't Xu Danying?

He replied, "Who are you?"

"You added me and you're asking who I am?" The other person sounded very impatient.

Zhang Yang was speechless. He replayed it in his head—he remembered the numbers correctly. Could it be that Xu Danying was teasing him?

No, the tone was too aggressive. Only Xia Weiwei talked like that. There was no way his gentle little sister-in-law would.

"Xia Weiwei?"

"Hmph. Who the hell gave you my QQ? Which bastard told you?"

Bastard? Zhang Yang wiped sweat from his forehead. Damn girl—it really was Xia Weiwei. Little Angel Fairy, my ass. Calling your own dad a bastard, huh? Impressive.

He didn't want to explain that her father had given it to him, so he replied curtly, "None of your business."

"Zhang Yang, don't think you can act arrogant just because you're famous now. In my eyes, you'll always be a pervert."

Zhang Yang's temper flared. Xia Weiwei was too much. He hadn't even offended her—why was she always picking on him?

"Fine, fine. I'm a pervert. Then do me a favor and block me. I can't afford to deal with you, alright? What bad luck." Zhang Yang typed back irritably. Couldn't deal with her? He could damn well ignore her.

"Excuse me? You added me first, and now you say bad luck? If you don't tell me who gave you my QQ, I'm not letting this go!"

"I'm not telling you. So what?" Zhang Yang was pissed. He almost blocked her himself but decided against backing down to this brat.

"Fine, you've got guts. Zhang Yang, big-shot chairman, huh? Let me tell you—I've got plenty on you. If you don't talk, tomorrow the media will be full of your scandals. Cheating senior Xu Danlu, flirting with Gao Qi, even daring to mess with Teacher Yang Fei…"

Zhang Yang had been ready to block her, but that made him explode. That brat really thought she could threaten him?

"Don't forget, I'm from the Department of Journalism and Communication. If you don't want to see your name all over the news tomorrow, you'd better tell me who gave you my QQ."

"Fine, fine! Your dad told me, alright?" Zhang Yang was speechless. The girl was the school's journalism flower, an intern reporter no less, and already had it out for him—he didn't dare risk her actually doing it.

"My dad? Impossible! You're lying!"

"Why would I lie? Ask your dad yourself." Zhang Yang frowned, then added, "Mayor Xia said you're too spoiled, hard to marry off, so he asked me… to find you a husband."

"Bullshit!" Xia Weiwei was furious, sending a string of angry emojis. "Zhang Yang, you just wait. You'll regret this tomorrow."

After typing that, she blocked him.

Zhang Yang stared at the screen, speechless. That crazy girl wouldn't actually do it, right?

If she wrote something as 'an insider from Meining University,' dragging him, Lulu, Gao Qi, and even Yang Fei into it, things could get messy.

He didn't care much for himself—Lulu would probably laugh it off, Gao Qi too—but if she mentioned Yang Fei, that would be trouble.

Damn it. He couldn't let that crazy girl win. He needed to find a way—and better yet, teach that brat a painful lesson.

Right—ask the system for help!

But then again, wasting his already limited system points on that brat felt stupid.

Forget it. Let the dog bark. He had real things to do—like adding Xu Danying.

He sent a request. No reply yet, but then he got a message—from Xu Dantong.

"Brother-in-law, you're up early. Why haven't you replied to my messages?"

Zhang Yang winced. He'd been so mad at Xia Weiwei he'd forgotten about her. "Sorry, I was busy. By the way, your sister's recovering well. I'll bring her home in a day or two, don't worry."

Xu Dantong already knew about Lulu's injury and had been checking in daily. Lulu had told Zhang Yang about it.

"Hehe, thanks, brother-in-law. Sis already told me. She's lucky to have you. Oh, I heard you were in the capital recently—why didn't you come visit me?"

Zhang Yang wiped sweat again.

Probably Lulu told her.

He had planned to, but with Gao Qi's father's issue, he had to return early. Otherwise, he would've only just gotten back to Meining today.

Speaking of which, Xi Chen Jinglan was supposed to arrive in Meining tonight. Yang Jing would handle the reception, but since Zhang Yang had hired her first, he should at least meet her.

So he explained truthfully that Lingguang One's launch kept him too busy.

Xu Dantong didn't mind, sending a smile emoji, then suddenly said, "Brother-in-law, do you have a webcam? Let's video chat! I'm bored at school—all day it's just numbers and simulations…"

"Video?" Zhang Yang blinked. Of course he had one. But video chatting with his beautiful little sister-in-law? That felt… awkward.

Still, he couldn't refuse. He said yes, and soon she sent a video call request.

Zhang Yang accepted. The screen lit up with her beautiful face. She was sitting in her dorm, laptop in her lap under a blanket.

Maybe because it was the weekend, she was still in her pajamas.

Of course, it was the modest, thick kind—no exposure at all—but her curvy figure still stood out perfectly beneath it.

Her full, round chest made even that cotton pajama look sexy.

They chatted for a while.

Then Xu Danying finally replied and added him. Sure enough, her nickname was Cold-Faced Lady. Zhang Yang was surprised—this quiet girl?

She was the very picture of a classical beauty—nothing cold-faced about her.

After chatting with Xu Dantong for a bit, she smiled mysteriously, looked at Zhang Yang, then covered her camera. "Brother-in-law, I've got class soon. I need to get up and change, so I'm turning this off. Talk later!"

Zhang Yang wiped sweat again. For some reason, he suddenly remembered that morning he'd seen her braless on the rooftop. Just thinking of her changing now made his imagination run wild.

After saying goodbye to Xu Dantong, he refocused on his task.

"Danying, why'd you name yourself Cold-Faced Lady?" He really couldn't figure it out.

"Hehe, brother-in-law—it really is you!" The girl sounded delighted, not even noticing his question. "I thought you lost my QQ."

"Of course not. I just added you, didn't I?" Zhang Yang chuckled awkwardly. Truth was, he'd totally forgotten until today.

"Hehe, liar. You must need something from me. So tell me, what can your little sister-in-law help you with, brother-in-law?"

Zhang Yang sighed and honestly explained what he needed.

She replied cheerfully, "Send me your concept first. Let me see what I can do."

Zhang Yang thought for a moment, then typed out everything about the Magic Eagle Eye Surveillance System's software component from his mind and sent it.

After that, Xu Danying went silent. She was probably shocked by the design—it took her a long time to reply.

Finally, she messaged, "Brother-in-law, this idea is amazing! If this software really works, it'll sell for a fortune! It's unbelievable. But I'll need time to digest it. Just type everything out—I'll copy it and study it later. It won't be easy."

Clearly, Zhang Yang had piqued her interest—she was totally absorbed now.

From her tone, he could tell it was difficult but possible.

He kept typing out the rest of the ideas quickly. She couldn't keep up with all of it, so he typed bit by bit, pausing between sections, occasionally browsing the web to kill time.

Then, by chance, he noticed Xia Weiwei's QQ. Even though she'd blocked him, he hadn't deleted her, so her icon still showed online—and she had her webcam on.

Suddenly, Xu Dantong's earlier words came to mind. Xia Weiwei wanted to "teach him a lesson"? Fine. Let's see what she's up to.

Don't forget—he was a hacker. He had her QQ and IP. If she dared spread rumors, he'd hack her computer and shut her up.

Thinking that, he got to work. Using her QQ connection, he infiltrated her computer in seconds, turning it into a puppet machine he could control.

Then, out of curiosity, he noticed her webcam was active. His heart stirred. What was that girl doing right now?

With a thrill of mischief, Zhang Yang secretly opened her webcam feed.

The video was crystal clear. It was the weekend, and Xia Weiwei seemed to be at home. The webcam faced a pink-sheeted bed—messy, as if she'd just gotten up.

But she wasn't sitting at her desk. Strange.

Just then, the bathroom door beside the bed opened. So that's where she was—she must've gone to wash up. Now she stepped out in a pink one-piece robe and slippers.

She'd just washed her face and now walked to the computer, then sat at the edge of her bed.

The robe's hem was open, and as she sat casually, her long, white legs crossed in view. Her smooth calves, and above that, faint glimpses of pale skin.

Zhang Yang had to admit—even if she was a brat, she was stunning. Full chest, fair skin, large eyes—innocence mixed with charm.

She stretched lazily, then stood, tiptoeing to her wardrobe. After rummaging around, she pulled out a black plaid skirt and a pink bra, tossing them onto the bed.

Then she rubbed her slender neck, hands moving slowly to the robe's belt…

Zhang Yang froze. Was she about to change clothes?
