Jaber was the first to reach there. He had no mind for manners or decorum, and so he practically barged into the infirmary, followed right by Ali Baba.
Wael seemed to have some thoughts to share about such behavior, but Arslan stopped him.
" How is she?" Jaber quickly made for the palace's physician, who had just finished checking up on the girl.
" She appears to be poisoned, but, no matter how I try… she doesn't expel a thing." The man explained, his expression contorting in worry as he looked at the girl on the bed.
" Of course she won't!" Jaber clicked his tongue as he took over, opening her eyes and taking her pulse. Her breathing was hoarse, and she felt as though she were burning. " It's a slow-acting poison. It's been half a day already."
" If it's a poison, you can treat her, right?" Ali Baba practically begged as the others caught up as well.
