Eric was sent flying backward, as if hit by an invisible force, and smashed violently against the room's wall. The terrifying power instantly shattered his Semi-Saint defenses, making him feel as though every bone in his body was about to break!
SPLAT!
Eric coughed out a mouthful of fresh blood, his complexion deathly pale as he slid down the wall. He looked towards Eiliana by the window with bewilderment and said, "Your Highness, why have you done this? What have I done to anger you so?"
He truly did not understand. He had merely proposed a reasonable solution, one with a high chance of success. He thought he was alleviating the King's worries, so why was he being punished? Why was this happening?
"Qin Yun is my friend, not a pawn to be used at will!" Eiliana's expression was icy as she said firmly, "Eric, erase that thought from your mind immediately. Never think of it again, and certainly never speak of it!"
