Crack! Crack!
The lotus platform beneath the Present Buddha showed signs of shattering, and for the first time, a fleeting hint of panic flashed across his compassionate face.
He understood the Future Buddha's discontent. After all, it was agreed that each would govern an era, but a great calamity had struck, making his current era seemingly longer.
But no matter the argument, this was a dispute within their Great Sect, and the Future Buddha's current actions were undoubtedly helping the enemies, threatening to uproot the foundation of the Great Sect!
"You deserve to die!"
Stimulated by the wild laughter, bloodshot lines appeared in the Present Buddha's eyes. He watched helplessly as the latter half of a great river disassociated from beneath him, and the Colorless Lotus Platform, representing transcendence, collapsed halfway.
Transcendence was supposed to be flawless; if there were flaws, it wouldn't deserve the name.
