As soon as An Lan entered Wangzi's room, she saw the little guy sitting cutely on the bed, occasionally rubbing his eyes, as if he was still half-asleep. Her heart melted at the sight.
"Wangzi." An Lan clapped her hands, calling Wangzi's name.
Upon hearing his mom's voice, Wangzi quickly turned his head. Then he extended both hands in the air, shakily stood up, and mumbled "Mama" in a babyish way as he unsteadily walked toward An Lan.
An Lan stood on the other side of the bed rails.
Wangzi cooperated generously, walking up to An Lan. With his chubby little hands, he tightly grasped the netting of the bed rails. Just as An Lan was about to reach out to pick Wangzi up from the bed, his legs gave out, and he plopped back down on the bed.
Due to the bed's bounciness, as Wangzi forcefully sat down, the meat on his face jiggled with the movement.
