Corpses littered every direction his eyes could reach, some twisted into unnatural positions while others lay torn apart amidst pools of thick blood that reflected the flickering emergency lights above.
Yet despite standing in the centre of such carnage, Lackey's ice-blue eyes remained disturbingly calm... They resembled a frozen lake untouched by wind or storm, carrying neither satisfaction nor regret.
