Aether stood before the shut door, staring at it as though it might answer him if he waited long enough. A slow sigh escaped his lips as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"The heck was that…" he muttered as his fingertips traced the skin again. There were no punctures, no lingering pain, not even a mark, despite the fact that she had bitten him twice without hesitation.
Anyway, the situation had spiralled out of control far faster than he expected.
"Damn… I really got hot back there," Aether murmured under his breath, exhaling slowly as he adjusted himself. "Was that because she sucked my blood… or was it something else entirely?"
He shook his head as if to brush the thought away, buttoning his shirt. His lips curled up wickedly, 'It worked better than I thought' he thought before weakly and meekly asked loudly,
"D-Did you remember anything, darling?"
"..."
No response came from the other side of the door.
But to Aether, that silence spoke louder than words ever could.
