For a while, Maximus and Celestina began to discuss among each other, while Ray listened to them. During so, behind the three; Kai was lost in his thoughts. But as the Sun was about to set soon, Maximus decided that he and Celestina shall go to Hiro's mansion after having dinner;
"Kai, would you like to come as well?"
Maximus asked as he looked behind to Kai. But since he was lost in thoughts, he didn't respond; until Maximus placed his hand on Kai's shoulder. Then only he looked ahead seeing Maximus, Ray and Celestina looking at him with a worried expression.
Maximus wanted to ask again, but Kai simply wheeled himself back as Ray followed him calling out to him. Maximus sighed, saying he knew that Kai might react like this. Celestina then stepped ahead, next to Maximus's right as she said;
"It's a lot of take in Max. Give him some time…"
On the other side, Kai had wheeled himself quite some distance; while Ray still kept calling out to him as he followed behind.
"Hey Kai!" Ray called from behind but Kai just won't listen. Irritated, Ray reached out to hold Kai's wheelchair and held it back. But just then, Kai sat up from his wheelchair, throwing off his wig on the ground and murmured to himself; "It's all my fault…"
But Ray didn't hear what Kai said and looked around frantically; exclaiming that what if someone saw Kai standing in middle of the hallway. But Kai didn't care for that as he turned to Ray and said that the current situation between Hiro and Sakura is all thanks to him. But Ray was confused, asking how come he's the one to blame for it.
But then, Ray saw a screen appearing right in front of him; where it showed Kai following Maximus behind. But unaware to Kai, he was also being followed by someone who saw him coming out of the ally. And that person who carefully followed him, was none other that Sakura in disguise as a commoner. She also stood behind in a flower shop when Kai was observing Maximus and Celestina by a corner. And right after Kai left, she too went back to the mansion; right at the moment when Hiro came back all tired from the palace.
The play ended at that, as Ray also stood silent in shock for a while. An awkward silence fell between the two; until Ray quickly held Kai by his shoulder and began to shake. Screaming at his fullest;
"YOU!? IT WAS YOU!? YOU WERE THE ONE WHO CAUSED AUNT SAKURA TO MISUNDERSTAND!? HOW CAN YOU BE SO CARELESS!?!? YOU WILL BE THE FIRST CHILD IN THE HISTORY TO CAUSE A DIVORCE OF HIS PARENTS'!!"
With a guilty look, Kai just let him went on but cut in between as he said that Ray is wrong about one thing.
"Yeah, right… I was careless, and so it happened. But you're wrong about one thing Ray. I won't be the first child to make their parent divorce, but the second. There's already one girl who-"
But Ray cut him in before he could finish, asking;
"Is it important who's first or second!? What's important right now is how do you plan to solve this misunderstanding!?"
Kai tried to reassure him that things will be cleared out, but Ray kept pestering him; pushing him back. And in the moment, Kai hit a vase behind him which began to fall. Noticing back, Ray tried to use his wind magic to stop the fall. But before he could, Kai had already caught the vase; using his left leg.
Seeing Kai caught the vase, Ray paused as a sigh left his lips. Kai looked at him with the vase still in balance on his leg, thinking Ray must have been very worried about the whole situation of Hiro and Sakura.
"Look Ray," Kai began.
"Just like how I saved this vase from falling on the floor, I'll do the same with my parents' relationship. Ill solve it in no time. So, there is nothing to worry abou-!"
But Kai paused in between, as Ray looked at him; mumbling on how Kai will do so. But he saw Kai was looking at his left side, sweat forming on his forehead with his mouth slightly open. As Ray slowly turned back to his right, wondering what Kai have seen; he too froze, his breath caught in his throat. What stood in front of the two was none other than Elysia, her mouth slightly open with eyes widened as she kept her eyes locked on Kai. Ray then slowly turned to Kai, asking in a hushed tone as he asked;
"So… is there really nothing to worry about?"
As he asked, the vase that was in balance on Kai's leg fell and shattered on the floor. The three stood in an awkward silence, until Ray and Kai heard Mono and Lala's voice, coming closer due to the sound of the shattered vase. In that moment, both Ray and Kai came up with one thought in their minds. Run.
Kai quickly went up to Elysia, picked her up; while Ray used his wind magic to collect the shattered pieces, as the two ran to Ray's room. Kai pushed his wheelchair, where he placed Elysia and picking up his wig on the way; while Ray ran behind with the pieces of the vase. The two of them quickly ran off inside Ray's room, while behind them Mono and Lala came to view; looking around to find any broken pieces or so. But after looking around for a while and finding nothing, the two went back.
Inside Ray's room, Kai and Ray were leaning against the door hearing the footsteps slowly fading. Both of them let out a sigh of relief. Kai turned to Ray, saying that Ray almost had them caught. But Ray retorted, saying it was Kai who was careless. But Kai countered; saying it was Ray who held him back in the middle of the hallway. The two pointed at each other; saying it was the other fault. But realizing that it was pointless, the two calmed down.
The two then looked over Elysia who just silently kept watching the two, with her mouth still open in surprise. The two glanced at each other, as Ray asked through the earpiece;
"How do you plan to explain to Eli about all this?"
But to response, Kai just shrugged, saying;
"Not sure, but it will be fine. Let's just go with the flow."
Ray stared daggers at Kai's laid-back response.
"Are you for real? Let's go with the flow, my-"
"Brother…?"
But just then, Elysia spoke up. Looking at Kai's face first, then down at his legs, then to his hands where Kai held the wing. Looking at her confused expression, Kai sighed and stepped forward to her; as he slowly sat down in front of her. Kai then slowly patted her head, saying she must be very confused right now. To his question, Elysia simply nodded with a calm look; looking at Kai's face.
Ray then wondered what will Kai response, as Kai gave Elysia a small smile; bringing out his right hand to her where he held a candy in a cute wrapping;
"Alright, I'll tell you everything, but it will be our secret okay?"
Elysia took the candy from his hand, nodding; while Ray stood behind, thinking whether Kai would actually speak out everything. But of course, Ray was wrong yet again.
Twenty minutes later, Elysia was in air; smiling brightly while Kai was used his magic to levitate her; laughing alongside. In those twenty minutes, Kai told Elysia the story. The story of how he is able to walk again; according to which, during the moon festival ritual, the moon bird came hearing Elysia's prayer and fixed Kai's leg.
"The moon bird is so kind. It helped brother to regain your legs."
Elysia exclaimed happily, while Kai agreed with her; saying it was actually thanks to her prayers that the moon bird came to him and let him walk again.
Both Kai and Elysia laughed happily, as Kai continued to play with Elysia with his magic. But in the corner, Ray stood with an expressionless face; looking at Kai.
"Sometimes I wonder, how can he lie so easily and make up random stories…," Ray thought; while Kai promised to Elysia that the two of them shall surprise Hiro and Sakura about Kai being all fine. And Kai asked her to keep Kai's recovery a secret for now.
An hour later, Elysia was asleep on Ray's bed. But Kai and Ray looked outside towards the setting Sun with a serious expression, to the roof of the other side of the palace. There stood, a person with a cloak covered around their body. Only their crimson hair flowed in the air, face covered but the emerald eyes of the person shined brightly.
