Timeline: 98 AG (1 Months since the day of departure) (1st of march)
At Makapu village, situated at Makapu mountains between the fire nation colonies and Mo Ce Sea, Azula and her entourage of crew members has taken settlement after traveling around for a month since her departure from her home nation

Inside the village, in one of the reserved temporary residence home for travelers, is our young reincarnated and her crew of friends and soldiers, taking up residence for a day or two before they begin heading to their final destination to the fire nation colonies
From there, they plan to head to Pohuai stronghold and join in Azula's personal quest of conquering Omashu
Currently, Azula is in her personal room, writing a letter back for her Mother and those she cares about back home, just like she promised on the day of her departure

I hope you guys are doing alright. Send my regards to Aunt as well please.
where do i even begin. I guess, from the beginning
In this past month, i feel like i have lived as much as all my life back home. The day of my departure, we first went through 'The Great Gates Of Azulon', from there we travelled near the shores of the nation before parting from it for a few hours to get to 'fire fountain city'
When we got there it was night time already so we reserved for rooms near the center of the city there"
When asked, Zuko didn't want to come, choosing to stay with his mother. Ursa was already against Azula going, only relenting in the end with the promise of her writing letters back home once every month about her travels, and other letters daily about her health. The other major reason was because Ursa knows that her baby girl is very strong and can protect herself
Azula's mind Automatically goes to the past month once again. With her mind to the past in remembrance, she keeps on writing
[A month Ago]
The ship that's housing the Princess of the nation, and the revered Avatar by the masses, arrives and anchors to the shores of the Fire Fountain City. The crew ready the ship for settling down and an entourage of soldiers depart as guards after the Royal bloods descend from planks
Azula, the current most popular being in both the physcial and spiritual realms, takes a breath before smiling, "and the start of my journey begins..." She smirks in delight, being filled with a sense of freedom
After all, in all her second life she's ever been to Ember island and the nation's capital, never setting foot on any other soil inside her own nation,let alone outside of it
Besides her is the would be heir if Iroh had taken the throne, Lu Ten. One might think he'd be resentful of losing the opportunity to become the highest ruling body of this great nation, but he is far from feeling that way. Right now, all Lu Ten wants and is on this travel for, is to find his father
He wants to find, and see him with his own 2 eyes, face to face, not from behind paper and ink. He wants to hug his father, hear stories of his travels, and bring him back home so that his mother stop worrying and be happy too. This is the reason he agreed to travel with Azula in her quest to find reputation among her peers
As Azula takes a step forward, she is hugged from behind by the ball of energy that is Ty Lee, "haha! I'm so glad i came to this travel with you Azula! " That's right, the next person who agreed to accompany Azula was one of the best friends, Ty Lee
Ty Lee has always felt like something was missing in her life. Despite the two bestest friends, the 6 other sisters, and the mother and father that she got blessed with in life, she's always felt something is hollow inside her heart. She hopes that she'll be able to fill this emptiness in this travel of hers
Mai also walks up beside the duo, having her arms crossed and be in that perpetually bored stance of hers. "I agreed to this travel so we may do fun stuff. I didn't know visiting boring places counts as that" That's right! Mai only tagged along because, and i quote: 'fine, it's better to travel than be stuck in this boring place' she only wanted to find and do fun stuff
"But Mai! This is going to be fun! Trust me! " Ty lee sends her friend a smirk and puts her hand around her neck, the other already around Azula's. "This is going to be so much fun! " She smiles brightly, all her teeth visible in their white glory, eliciting a happy smile from Azula and a little upward lip from Mai
"Don't worry guys, we'll only be here for the night, then we'll be on our way" Azula informs them as they are walking to the city, "oh! That's right! " Ty Lee says, her eyes going wide, "where are we going anyway? Do we have a set destination planned? " She asks, and Azula answers, "not really. Our final destination is set for Pohuai Stronghold, where we will meed with General Shinu. My own goal in this expedition is to conquer the great city of Omashu. I want to be able to do it on my own, so that the credit falls on me and no one else" Azula informs them, "but, thats
The endgame. How or when we get there is up to fate. We may get there and finish the job in one month, or we may take our time" Azula smirks at her two friends while walking to the city, "I'm guessing you girls can tell which route I'm leaning towards~" Mai smirks and Ty Lee smiles brightly at Azula
They get near an entourage of awaiting people once they leave the shore. At the front, there is a fat man who,upon their arrival, tries to bow with his guards and servants behind him, but he can only kneel so much with the fat belly
"Welcome to Fire Fountain City, your highnesses. My name is Shaun and i am the Mayor of this homble place. Your residence has been arranged and ready for you" He informs, getting a nod from Azula, with Lu Ten saying, "thank you, Mister Shaun. We will be staying just for the night. Tomorrow we'll be on our way" He informs, eliciting a nod from the man
As they get to their temporary residence and settle down, the sun begins to set. Inside Azula's room, she gets a knock from her door, and without her saying anything, the door is opened and the ball of very flexible energy struds in. Her hand on her hips, her smile bright, Ty Lee looks at Azula's sitting form and says, "Azula! Let's go explore the city! " Mai is at the door with her arms crossed. When Azula looks her way, Mai shrugs, "don't look at me, she dragged me along. I couldn't even refute" Azula smirks at her before getting up. "Alright! Let's go! But we need to get back before night falls completely so 2 hours only" She says, making Ty Lee jump in place happily
She gets ready and the three head into the village

Nights at the nation is filled with lazy clouds obscuring the sky because of the nature of the islands that the nation inhabits, but tonight, the sky is noticeably clear, giving way for stars to twinkle in the night sky, making the trio look up in wonder. Mai doesn't look much, just noting the beauty the sky pocesses, before looking ahead where she puts her feet not to fall. But Azula and Ty Lee's heads are up all the time. Ty Lee still trips a few times but is mostly find, preferring to see the beautiful sky full time instead of where she's going. Azula though, she has her senses so she knows she won't trip, having her head looking up all the time
"You're losing on a lot here Mai, " She informs in a playful tone, "i prefer to not trip instead of looking. And besides, i already saw it, what's the point of gazing" Is the response Azula gets, eliciting giggle from her and Ty Lee
"Hehe~ that's such a Mai thing to say" Adds Ty Lee
Azula feels a stall that's selling stuff a little ahead, seeing the owner starting to close, and gets an idea, "guys! Lets hurry and find some snack. We can then watch the stars while sitting somewhere" She says and the trio quick their pace
They get to the stall before it closes, buy some 'flaming chips' -just hotter chips' and other snacks, before they make their way a little outside of the city
While going that way, they pass the city centre and see a half finished statue of Ozai,half naked and in a pose, being made. The trio seeing this are stunned,while Azula voices out her thoughts openly, "what a narcissistic thing to do" Her face is scrunched up in a frown as well
"Azula! That's not a nice thing to say! He's even your father for Agni's sake! " Says Ty Lee, the duo of friends longs since knowing Azula's feelings regarding her father
After the little pit stop at the city centre, they resume their walk and head towards a little green hillside a little outside the residences area. There, the trio lie down on the grass, and share stories with eachother while eating and gazing at the cosmos above
"Hey, do you think one day we'll be able to visit those far away stars? I mean, how far could it be" Ty Lee says, making Azula think of her past life, "maybe we will... Someday" She says in a reminiscent tone
And like that, their night is spent, forgetting about their timer of 2 hours, and getting back late, getting an earful from Lu Ten before they eat a light meal and head into bed for the night
[The next day]
The next day they prepare for departure. The ship gets ready under the command of Kuzon, another familiar person and somone who was Azula's Eyes and Ears within the capital at the time of Azulon
They depart from the island around breakfast time, choosing to have their breakfast in the open on the ship while they sail away, seeing the waves crashing on the ships mast and enjoying the lively air of the sea
By afternoon they get to another island. A familiar one from Azula's mother's side of the family
They depart after anchoring the ship on the shore, and step forth on Avatar Roku's Island. The same one who's volcano erupted and took the former Avatar's life. The same one that got rebuild again by his wife and people, and got prosperous in medical and herbal fields by the descendants of her mother's side of the family
As she and her entourage gets to the city, she smiles and waves before going close, and hugging her Grandmother, her mother side of the family, who's in her 80s and sitting on a chair now. "It's so good to see you Grandma" She smiles happily, making her grandma smile back, "it sure is my little fire star. Though i guess you are not so little anymore, the fabled avatar. " She smirks, getting a groan from Azula, "ugh, you know that rumor is false grandma. Please don't tease me with it" She says, getting a weathered laugh in return, "haha... I know dear, I'm just messing with you. So, how is your mother. She didn't visit nor does she send letter a lot anymore like she used to. Not after his passing" She says, not at all bothered by her own last few words, knowing that her husband wouldn't want her to be sad about him, not in this age that she's at
"Oh, Mother is alright, she actually has a letter she wanted me to give you once I'm here. Here it is" She searches her pocket and gives her Grandma an envelope. Her Grandma takes it and smiles at her, "thank you dear. Now i won't take up your time with my old and weathered self. You and your friends are always welcome to this island. You may stay as long as you want as well. I have arranged for your quarters in your mothers old place, you may ask the residence and they will show you, as well as around the island if you want" She smiles and gives Azula a hug
They stay on the Island for one and half a day, exploring the region and getting alot of spices and medicinal herbs from the locals for minor injuries and stuff to treat. Then, after one and half days later, at the fourth day since her departure from the capital, at the crack of dawn Azula and her entourage leave for their next destination
Her next destination is Crescent Island, where she plans to visit her late Great-Grandfather, and have a chat with him

Author's note/ the Volume 2 of the story has officially started! And we get a flashback to what Azula went through before she got to Makapu Village -for those who don't know, makapu village is the same village from episode 14 of the show, 'the fortune teller'-
The next destination was Crescent isIand where Roku's temple is located. What would Azula do there? And would she be able to comunicate with Roku's spirit? Guess we'll wait and find out next episode
