Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 Wrath and Reckoning

"Fugaku, you traitor!"

The words cut through the night like a kunai through bone.

Then—

"You coward!"

Another voice. Raw. Breaking. Filled with betrayal.

The Uchiha clan erupted.

Shouts clashed. Accusations flew. Rage trembled in clenched fists, fingernails biting skin. Others pointed at Fugaku, disbelief twisting their faces.

Mothers clutched children. Veterans cursed under their breath. No one moved.

Fugaku lowered his head.

He didn't speak.

He couldn't.

Because what was left to say?

"You led us!" someone yelled. "Now you hand us over?!"

Nearby, the remaining loyalists turned on Kaito's side.

"You're the traitors!" one barked. "You'd drag us into civil war to feel powerful!"

Kaito's supporters fired back.

"What future do we have?" a man growled. "A slow death while Konoha crushes us one by one?!"

From the shadows, Obito watched.

"Pathetic," he muttered.

This collapse—this implosion—was the final humiliation of the Uchiha.

"Some surrender everything for comfort. Others sell honor for power. They all deserve what's coming."

His eyes closed.

"Only the Infinite Tsukuyomi will end this nightmare."

BOOM.

The golden Susanoo's blade shattered the earth. Screams echoed. Dust swallowed the courtyard.

All turned.

Kaito stood unmoved.

His gaze locked on Fugaku.

Cold. Final.

"Let them believe Danzo," he said quietly. "They've already made their choice. Now they live with it."

Danzo stepped forward.

"Kaito! You think you can strike Konoha and survive?"

Hiruzen moved with him, Anbu flanking. He stood tall now. Assured.

Danzo smirked. "Let him wear himself out. Once he's exposed—"

PAIN.

Kaito was there.

Sword through Danzo's chest.

Blood spilled.

Danzo gasped. No sound came.

Rip.

Bandages tore away.

Shisui's eye gleamed.

Hiruzen reacted too late. "Time-space jutsu?!"

Shuriken flew. Kaito deflected them without turning.

Danzo's mind flailed. Izanagi.

Darkness.

Then light.

Alive.

But Kaito was still there.

Slash. Death. Again.

Each time, Danzo returned.

Each time, Kaito struck.

"Six Sharingan in your arm," Kaito said. "Six Izanagi. Six minutes of lies."

Slash. Reform. Slash.

Danzo stumbled. Panic flared.

In Kaito's eyes: no rage.

Only certainty.

This wasn't combat.

It was sentencing.

Hiruzen stepped in.

"Kaito! This isn't the way. We can still fix this."

Kaito chuckled. Low. Dry.

"Fix this?"

He stared at Hiruzen like a bug.

"You think this is a misunderstanding?"

Hiruzen tried. "You're still part of this village. I don't want more blood—"

Kaito cut in, a whisper:

"Family?"

The word struck harder than any jutsu.

Grief shimmered in his gaze.

Then fury.

"Let's talk about Tobirama."

Hiruzen stiffened. "He was my teacher."

"Then answer me this: When you die—and see him again—will you be able to look him in the eye?"

Silence.

Anbu froze.

Hiruzen faltered. "What are you implying?"

"I'm reminding you," Kaito said. "Of what you erased."

Tobirama's plan. The Senju scattered. Tsunade broken. The Uchiha next.

The Anbu didn't speak.

But their hands stopped moving.

Hiruzen tried to speak. Failed.

Kaito faced them all.

"You followed him. He followed Danzo. Now all of you... follow them into the grave."

To be continued.
