Chapter 9 - #9Chapter 9 I Traveled Through Time Again

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, a month had passed. Both Yuta and Rikka had gradually integrated into the class. Although Rikka's chuunibyou remarks and foolish behavior meant she hadn't made good friends, she wasn't ostracized either. Yuta, as the class monitor, and with his good personality and looks, was very popular in the class.

This month was also peaceful, with no troublesome missions to handle. Fang Wuwei's daily routine now consisted of signing in, going to school, doing homework, and occasionally freeloading meals. It made him a bit confused, wondering if he was really here for school.

Because he had nothing to do, Fang Wuwei spent this month exercising to prepare for potential battles and began trying to approach Rikka to get her to forgive his occasional 'betrayal' behavior. The result was success, and he even received the title of 'Red-Eyed Slaughterer' from Rikka.

One morning, Nanase Teacher announced that today there would be recruitment activities for various associations, and there would be an association explanation meeting. Afterward, she called Fang Wuwei over...

"Oriental Student."

Ninomiya Nanase Teacher still smiled, but deep in her eyes, a hint of dissatisfaction occasionally flickered towards Fang Wuwei. "You've been late eleven times this month. That's not very good."

Fang Wuwei's head was sweating. The reason for his frequent lateness this month was actually over-training every day. He would accidentally forget what time it was, leading to a complete loss of time concept, and he would wake up very late every day.

He was clearly not like this before... In his past life, as a worker, he was very time-conscious. Being late once meant a 200 deduction, he wouldn't dare be late even if it killed him.

Was it simply this youthful body's vigor? Or some other reason...

"In any case! You absolutely must not be late again!" Looking at the silent young man in front of her, Nanase Teacher was a bit angry and issued an ultimatum.

Finally, Fang Wuwei returned to the classroom holding eight self-criticism letters. As soon as he entered, he saw Rikka extending her chopsticks, holding a ball of rice, towards Yuta.

Yuta readily gulped it down, and then the entire class watched. Fang Wuwei silently pulled out his phone, took a picture, then suddenly froze and left in a hurry.

After watching the entire explanation meeting, Rikka had new ambitions. She didn't want to join anyone else's association and become their subordinate, but she still wanted to have an association to have a base at school.

And so...

"How about this?" Rikka held out a piece of paper with six large characters written on it: [Extreme East Magic Society]. This was the beginning of a dream.

"Good luck." Yuta was deeply helpless. He wanted a more normal high school life, not one where he was constantly mixed up with chuunibyou like before. So he decisively bowed, wished them well, and left in three quick steps, until Rikka slid and tripped him to the ground.

"You're supposed to keep people in a normal way!"

But Rikka ignored Yuta's roar, pulled out an association application form from behind her, and said, "Anyway, first write your name here." Then, she pointed to the vice-president column.

Yuta looked closely, but he had already made up his mind not to engage in chuunibyou activities again and still refused. So Rikka suggested that Yuta could be the president, and she would be beneath him...

"That's not it! Besides, besides us, will anyone else join??"

"You don't have to worry about that." Rikka was very confident about this point. In her opinion, it was only natural for everyone to be interested in this magic society.

So the two of them carried a set of tables and chairs, set them up in the school courtyard, and put up a white flag behind them. The [Extreme East Magic Society] was conspicuously displayed, attracting attention like a street vendor, but unfortunately, no one was interested in this society.

Soon, Senior Koushou, who also had no one interested in her desire to create a napping association, moved next to Rikka to recruit. So the two hit it off immediately and decided to merge, thus forming the [Extreme East Magic Napping Society].

Even fewer people were interested.

But Rikka was not worried or discouraged at all.

Because... the minimum number of people to establish an association, five, had been reached!

"Me, Yuta, this Sleep Demon, and that Red-Eyed..." Rikka stroked her chin with one hand and slowly spoke. She naturally included the Red-Eyed Oriental Student, as in her eyes, he had no reason to refuse. "Just one more person... Could it only be her...?"

Rikka pulled out her Gothic-style phone, covered in strange patterns, and made a call to a certain twin-tailed loli...

"It's me. The Cardinal has begun to act. Due to the orders of the Vatican Magic Society, the situation is thus and so... Come to the rendezvous point immediately."

"You just said 'thus and so'! You said it!"

Ignoring Yuta's retort, Rikka crossed her arms and spoke mysteriously, "We'll meet tomorrow, and tomorrow, our Extreme East Magic Napping Society will be established!"

"Oh~"

"Senior, don't join in the fun!"

That night, Yuta dreamed again. In his dream, his goddess, Shinka Nibutani, wearing a gym uniform, confessed her feelings to him with great emotion.

But soon, Yuta's consciousness returned to reality, only to find a blonde, twin-tailed loli riding on him, using her extremely long hair to tie two sandbags and slap him in the face.

Yuta was so angry that he directly grabbed her hair and tied her to the bed, even tying a thoughtful bow, until she begged for mercy.

"I am the first servant of the Evil King's True Eye User, Takanashi Rikka! I am the Thunder War Hammer User, Totsuka Sanae! I have come to visit!"

"She is my servant. Due to the Administration's magic, Yuta's mind has been eroded. Now he occasionally makes strange movements. Forgive him." Rikka climbed in from Yuta's balcony and sat on Yuta's bed, speaking.

At the same time, the Togashi mother and daughter, who were drinking tea outside, exchanged glances as they listened to the noisy sounds inside.

"Brother brought a new woman again..." Kuzuha sighed and said, wondering why her brother's popularity with women had become so good after entering high school.

"Yes... That twin-tailed girl looks very cute too. Rikka, you have to work hard." Mrs. Togashi cupped her face and put a piece of bread in her mouth.

"Mom..."

Inside the room, the three gathered and started chatting. What were they talking about?

What else could they talk about? Yuta felt that whenever these two were together, their conversation would always be very silly, so he decisively changed the subject and talked about the association.

When the association was mentioned, Rikka became interested. "This way, there will be five people in the association! Me, you Yuta, Totsuka, that Senior, and Oriental Student." Rikka looked at Yuta and said, "That Red-Eyed, I'll leave it to you to introduce him."

"Easier said than done. I don't think Oriental Student will join." Yuta was speechless. He had already graduated from chuunibyou and really didn't want to join this association. Projecting his own feelings, he thought Fang Wuwei naturally wouldn't join either, but he still obediently pulled out his phone and called Fang Wuwei.

...

"Can't get through." Yuta hung up the phone helplessly. Is this guy still asleep? He's going to be late again.

"Is that so?" Rikka was surprised. How could someone still be sleeping at this hour? "Then let's invite him when we get to school."

— — — — This is a cute dividing line — — — —

After school, Yuta, Rikka, Totsuka, and Koushou went to the office to submit the application form. But throughout the day, Yuta hadn't seen Fang Wuwei. Even Shana came to ask Yuta about him.

But Fang Wuwei really skipped class without a word. His backpack had been on his seat since yesterday, but he was nowhere to be found.

Yuta felt that this matter itself was very strange, but for some reason, he would always subconsciously forget about it, as if a voice in the dark was telling him—

This is not important.

So now, he had forgotten about it again and came before Ninomiya Nanase Teacher with the other three.

"No, you can't establish an association with only four people." Ninomiya Nanase's smile was a bit forced. "It would be great if someone else joined..."

"There is!" Rikka said affirmatively, "There's also the Red-Eyed Apostle! That Oriental Student!" At this point, Rikka looked up at Yuta and said, "Yuta, you're not doing your job!"

"I can't reach him!" Yuta, reminded, remembered the matter again and was a bit worried.

"Is that so?" Nanase Teacher seemed surprised. "Didn't he tell you? Yesterday morning, he asked me for leave... He said he had some family matters and needed to take two days off, so I approved it. Didn't he tell you?"

"Family matters???" This time it was Yuta's turn to be surprised, his voice unconsciously rising two pitches. "Where does he still have a home? Wuwei's family all passed away three years ago... Ah, no... Never mind what I said..." Yuta spoke subconsciously, but soon, he realized he had misspoken and hurriedly covered his mouth.

Finally, facing the shocked gazes of the other four, he awkwardly said, "You guys... don't tell him, this is his scar."

Meanwhile, at this moment, Fang Wuwei was walking among skyscrapers that clearly did not belong to that era.
