Seeing my Pokémon on their last legs I grit my teeth, I felt my blood roaring in my ears in my rage, how dare this overgrown pest dare hurt my Pokémon .
With a snarl and a thought my inventory opened one second and my wand was in my hand the next, before I slashed it through the air towards the abomination as I half snarled, half roared out, "Dinfindo!"
However this time unlike the last, instead of the small red stream of magic that came out of my wand before, I actually felt it, my magic flowing, raging like a river down my hand to my wand as a four food long crescent crimson wave washed out of my wand towards the large rodent.
The Giant Rat having heard my roar turned just in time to see the attack coming at it, but too late to do anything about it as the spell met its mark and with the sound of a slab of meat being cut through the spell passed through it and carved a furrow in the stone wall behind it.
It's beady eyes blinked before it toppled over, the upper half of its body sliding to the side as it fell, cut from shoulder to hip as it crashed to the ground not getting a chance to utter a sound as it hit the ground and began fading away, its still half full life bar instantly dropping to zero.
Seeing the results of my spell I couldn't help but stare, my mouth open and my eyes wide as I looked to the wand in my hand in shock, only to feel a wave of exhaustion hit me and I stumbled falling to one knee like I had just sprinted a full three mile marathon.
My chest heaved as I tried to catch my breath and leaned on the ground with my left hand as I tried to steady my breathing, but in that state I realized just what it had been before that I had been missing from my spells before when I was practicing.
'Emotion or possibly something else, desire, will power, I felt angry, enraged, but I also had the desire, desire to hurt it, I could have also been forcing my magic through sheer will' I thought as my mind raced with what had just happened, though the rest of me was exhausted.
One thing was clear, though I had pulled that spell out of nowhere, it clearly didn't come without a price as my exhaustion was clear, 'once I figure out just what caused this I'm gonna have to work on my stamina to be able to pull it off more than just once' I thought as I got to my feet slowly, wincing slightly as I felt the burn of my injuries on my chest and stomach.
Looking down at them I frowned, they went right down my front, one long slash mirrored by two short ones, one on either side, the short ones went down my chest and stopped just an inch or so just before my stomach, while the middle one stopped just an inch before my belly button. They weren't deep thankfully, but I knew my mum was going to give me an earful about them.
Putting aside my injuries for now I limped my way over to my Pokémon and dropped down beside them as I opened up my system store, not even thinking twice as I bought two super potions from the store at seven hundred dollars a piece and began to apply them to their injuries, watching as they slowly began to heal.
"I think that's enough dungeon diving for one day, you two" I said as I applied the last of the potions to them and slumped against the wall of the cave to rest for a bit.
Cyndaquil, still tired from the fight, moved to rest against me, his head on my knee with a soft, "Cynda" in agreement.
Elekid moved to my other side and joined me slumping against the wall next to me with a similar groan of "Ele"
I snorted and closed my eyes to just rest for a moment after that fight, only for my eyes to open when a familiar chime echoed in my head as a blue screen appeared in front of me.

I chuckled, that was one hell of a pay day, six thousand, plus a Pokémon center and a token, yeah all of that was very welcome.
Sighing I looked down at my Pokémon and then at my own injuries a thought came to me, healing, could it work? 'Well I will eventually be able to use their moves, so why wouldn't it' I wondered
With a thought I opened the system up and purchased a regular potion for three hundred, as my Pokémon watched me curiously, as I began to apply it to my own wounds. Only to let out a hiss, it stung like I'd just applied antiseptic to it, but to my amazement the wounds started to close up and in less than a minute they had healed up and all I had left of them was a trio of light scar lines that would probably fade away in a few months.
I chuckled, both amused and a little annoyed at that, while I was glad I was healed, those would have been some badass scars to have.
