Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 [The Inheritance]

The village of Yamabuki was slow, quiet, and far removed from the dazzling world of Heroes and skyscrapers. In the old orphanage, managed by the ever-patient Ms. Hana, Quirks were distant dreams.

Three-year-old Reiji Kamui shattered the quiet the moment his Quirk manifested. A high-pitched, agonizing scream tore from his throat. Ms. Hana found him convulsing on the floor, his small hands clenched. Instinctively, she reached for him, but her hand snapped to a stop, suspended three centimeters from his skin. It was an invisible, immovable barrier.

Terrified, Ms. Hana immediately called Dr. Hiroki, the elderly Quirk Doctor from the nearby town clinic. She somehow managed to maneuver Reiji's small, protected body onto his cot without ever touching his skin.

Dr. Hiroki arrived within the hour. He was a small, hunched man with thick-rimmed glasses, and he was completely baffled by what he encountered. He couldn't feel heat, he couldn't feel wind—just a flat, absolute resistance that prevented contact.

"His skin is untouchable," the doctor mumbled, poking at the air with a stethoscope that refused to cross the threshold. "This isn't friction or magnetism; it's... the manipulation of space itself."

For the next seventy-two hours, Reiji was held in a catatonic state. He lay silent, surrounded by his invisible bubble, while Ms. Hana and Dr. Hiroki watched helplessly.

During this time, the true, chaotic inheritance took place. Ms. Hana, watching him closely, occasionally saw startling phenomena: sharp, black, angular lines would momentarily flash across his forehead and cheeks, only to disappear as if erased by a subconscious force. They were so quick that even Dr. Hiroki, dozing in a chair, missed them entirely. Ms. Hana didn't feel dread, only profound confusion—the marks seemed to carry no feeling at all, simply appearing and disappearing into the night.

When Reiji finally stirred, the internal noise of the world hit him instantly—the microscopic sight of the dust on the ceiling, the rhythmic pulse of the wiring in the wall, the precise location of every grain of wood in the floorboards.

He opened his eyes.

For a chilling second, his reflection was caught in the glass of the bedside lamp. Black, angular marks of the King of Curses had spread across his face, and his eyes were not his own; they were two pairs of fierce, malevolent red.

Panic.

He didn't want the scary look. He didn't want the marks. He squeezed his eyes shut, wishing it all away, back to the silent normalcy of his memory.

When he opened them again, the marks were gone, and the terrifying red had been replaced by a stunning, cloudless sky blue. These were the piercing, hyper-detailed Six Eyes, now permanently his. The sensory input remained overwhelming, but the visible sign of malice had retreated.

"He's awake! Dr. Hiroki, look!" Ms. Hana exclaimed.

The old doctor rushed over, peering at Reiji's bright new eyes. The invisible barrier around the boy was already receding, replaced by a residual, passive field.

Dr. Hiroki carefully performed a few tests, now able to gingerly touch Reiji's arm. He had witnessed the absolute barrier, and now he had to explain the phenomenon.

"Reiji-kun, can you move that toy car on the desk without touching it?" the doctor asked, hoping to gauge the extent of the spatial manipulation.

Reiji concentrated. He didn't know how to move the car, but he remembered the black marks, and he remembered the terrifying wish to cut the world. He channeled that desire, but controlled it, aiming only at the object.

A small, unseen ripple of energy hit the toy car, sending it skittering across the desk. It wasn't a push; it was a microscopic slice that imparted force.

"Incredible!" Dr. Hiroki exclaimed, utterly satisfied. "A strong manifestation of remote physical influence."

He finalized the registration form, combining the two most observable phenomena:

"His Quirk is a combination of specialized spatial Barrier Making and a highly refined form of Telekinesis, likely centered around his unnaturally perceptive optical nerve."

Name: Kamui, Reiji

Quirk Name:Absolute Field and Force (Registered)

Reiji Kamui was now officially registered, his true, terrifying powers—Limitless, Six Eyes, Cleave/Dismantle, and Ten Shadows—all bundled neatly under a misleadingly clinical description. He had immense power, yet he was still just a quiet boy from a forgotten village, completely unaware of the mythological nature of the power he possessed.
