"What are you talking about?" Hailey asked, causing Gabrielle to shake her like she weighed a couple of grapes. "The plan. Hailey, your scheme to get close to my son. You are having him make a speech and he doesn't like public speaking!"
"Gabby, can you put me down please?" Hailey asked nicely, but Gabrielle refused to budge. 'Oh no... She's gone feral mamma bear mode.' She thought to herself before hastily de-escalating the situation.
"Gabby I never said he was making a speech, will you just watch, at most he is going to get a small applause his way." Gabrielle then dropped her ward like a sack of potatoes before watching the speech resume with squinted eyes.
