Chapter 162 - The Prosperous Konoha

Danzo returned, and with her came not only the ninja forces from Konoha but also the descendants of the high-ranking officials from Sunagakure.

The village had made arrangements for these children, aged between 4 and 10.

A total of 17 children would be assigned to various ninja clans in the village to live.

This arrangement was made for two reasons: firstly, each clan had children of suitable ages who could live and learn together, fostering stronger bonds among them. Secondly, each clan's territory had many ninjas who could better protect both parties' safety and prevent any undesirable incidents.

Because Sasori's situation regarding his parents had been handed over to Kizaru by Hiruzen, Sasori was also assigned to the Shimura clan.

"Kizaru-sama... Big brother, are Mom and Dad really here?" Holding a teddy bear in his hand, Sasori stood beside Kizaru, eagerly asking.

"Of course!" Kizaru replied with a smile, taking Sasori and walking into the Shimura clan's territory.

In the main residence of the Shimura clan, in a wooden house with a courtyard next to Kizaru's residence, Sasori's parents, Sanao and Yusa, were standing at the courtyard gate, eagerly waiting for Sasori's arrival.

"Mom! Dad!"

Following Kizaru, Sasori saw his parents, and he immediately shouted with excitement upon seeing them.

As he called out, Sasori ran towards his parents, tears streaming down his face.

He rushed into his mother's embrace, tightly holding onto her thigh, his body trembling slightly as he sobbed.

"Sasori!" Stroking her son's head, Sanao wanted to cry, but her body, made of gray soil, prevented her tears.

Yusa, grateful, glanced at Kizaru before turning his gaze away, bending down and reaching out to gently stroke Sasori.

"This child is so pitiful!" Beside Kizaru's right hand, as the housekeeper of the main residence and Kizaru's life assistant, Keiko also followed.

Kizaru trusted Keiko very much, who had grown up taking care of him, and he briefly informed her about Sasori and his parents' situation.

"I'll take care of them from now on, Kizaru-sama." Wiping her eyes gently, Keiko returned to her work mode, her gaze becoming calm.

After entrusting the life arrangements of Sasori's family to Keiko, Kizaru did not go out for a leisurely stroll but returned to his residence.

Knowing his uncle, Danzo, would seek him out for a conversation after finishing work with Kakashi, Kizaru anticipated it.

As Kizaru expected, Danzo hurried back after over an hour of drinking tea in the house.

"Ebizo from Sunagakure wants to cooperate with us." Sitting in front of Kizaru, Danzo said.

"Us?" Smiling, Kizaru poured a cup of hot tea for his uncle.

"Yes, us, not the village." Danzo emphasized.

"But isn't the village ours?" Kizaru asked teasingly, squinting.

Laughing, Danzo liked this statement very much.

"He wants us to keep Sasori permanently in Konoha and to support Chiyo's disciple Rasa in becoming the Fifth Kazekage in the future."

"More political trouble!"

"He promises that after Rasa becomes the Fifth Kazekage, he will lead Sunagakure to completely align with Konoha, willing to give up everything except Sunagakure's autonomy."

Upon hearing this, Kizaru's face was full of smiles, tinged with deep sarcasm.

"Isn't it possible for the village to get these things whenever they want?"

Nodding in agreement, Danzo scornfully said, "It's because there are too many parasites like this, who are willing to sell the village's interests for power, that Sunagakure has fallen to this point. I have the least respect for people like this!"

Looking at his uncle with a strange expression, Kizaru wanted to add, "Oh yes, exactly!"

According to Danzo's words, in the original storyline, he was indeed the biggest parasite in Konoha.

"However, such parasites can also be used well. I am ready to temporarily cooperate with him." "How cruel, Uncle!" Kizaru joked.

"Hahaha!" Laughing triumphantly, Danzo liked this evaluation, "My cruelty to enemies is my tenderness to the village."

Kizaru didn't respond but just smiled and refilled Danzo's tea.

After discussing the matters of Sunagakure, Danzo didn't stay long. He had accumulated a lot of things to do since returning to the village.

In contrast to Danzo, Kizaru had been relatively leisurely recently.

The ninja academy was on break, and a new semester would begin after the new year.

The only thing that concerned Kizaru was the situation of Sasori's family and the weekly sparring sessions between his cousins and friends.

For Sasori's family, life was taken care of by Keiko, so Kizaru didn't have to worry much.

In terms of work, Kizaru was slightly more concerned. He suggested to Sasori's parents that they use the shop provided by the Shimura clan to open a ninja puppet figurine shop.

Sasori's parents were both elite puppet masters and had rich experience in puppet making.

Kizaru suggested that they refer to puppet making and create puppet toys resembling famous ninjas in the village for the children.

Facing Kizaru's proposal, Sanao and Yusa, who had no business experience, discussed it and decided to give it a try.

To help the toy figurine shop become popular, Kizaru specially informed some famous ninjas in the village, agreeing to let this couple use the images of these ninjas.

After preparing for half a month, Sasori's parents prioritized making puppet toys resembling the Third Hokage, Hiruzen, the Golden Flash, Kizaru, and the Three Sannin.

As Kizaru expected, these puppet toys, ranging from 30 to 50 centimeters in size, finely crafted, resembling the original, and with movable joints, were highly sought after by children from the opening of the toy store.

Because of inadequate preparation, on the third day of opening, the toy store was out of stock.

With such a booming business, beyond Sasori's parents' expectations, it brought them great motivation.

The toys in the store were not cheap; even the cheapest 30-centimeter puppet toy cost 1000 ryo, while the most expensive puppet toy sold for up to 5000 ryo. According to official settings, one ryo was equal to ten yen.

The first batch of puppet toys made by the couple totaled fifty, and they sold for a total of 120,000 ryo.

According to the shares allocated by Kizaru and them before opening, the couple took fifty percent. In other words, just three days after opening, without considering costs, Sasori's parents earned 60,000 ryo.

Considering the recent opening and the shortage of

goods, this income was not insignificant.

Being able to earn money, Sasori's parents were very happy. They weren't happy because they had money for themselves but because they could earn money for their child, feeling happy that they could provide a better life for him.

Even if they were already dead, they wanted to do everything they could to provide a better life for Sasori and leave behind a fortune that would ensure their child's worry-free life in the future.

Sasori was also very happy with his parents' new profession.

He no longer had to be sad when his parents went on missions; he could be with them every day and play with interesting toys.

Such a happy life was something Sasori had never experienced before.

If only he could bring Grandma Chiyo to Konoha too and live together with Mom and Dad forever in Konoha.

These were the most simple and pure thoughts in the young Sasori's heart.

Just as Sasori's family life in Konoha was on track, another matter spearheaded by Kizaru was also making rapid progress on the right track.

After a month of observation, the 100 diseased civilians who had been transplanted with Third Type Hashirama Cells, except for one person who showed mild rejection symptoms, had no issues.

The test subject who showed mild rejection symptoms was quickly treated by Orochimaru and Tsunade and soon resolved the rejection symptoms.

It could be said that after a month of observation, the Third Type developed by Orochimaru, have basically confirmed that there are no major risks.

In response to this, the high-level officials of Konoha, led by the Third Hokage, also expressed their approval and approved the safety review.

At the first opportunity after the safety review was passed, the two Konoha consultants left the village with packaged finished nutritional medicine products and went to the capital of the Land of Fire to negotiate the agency rights for sales.

For this negotiation, the ninja clans and ninjas in the village who participated in the investment were full of expectations. Everyone looked forward to sharing the tempting fruits of success.

Compared to high-risk S-rank missions, this stable and considerable income is what the ninja clans and ninjas in the village want.

This is a real iron rice bowl! No need to risk one's life, no need to spend too much energy, just wait at home for dividends.

Such a wonderful thing, no one would dislike it.

At the same time, after the safety review of Third Type Hashirama Cells was passed, Sakumo, accompanied by his wife, went to the research institute and underwent transplantation.

Sakumo's wife is due to give birth in more than two months, and her body has become increasingly weak.

If the Hashirama cells had not been successfully developed, Sakumo dared not guarantee that his wife could hold on until the due date.

After confirming with Tsunade and Kizaru that the transplantation of Hashirama cells would not harm the child in her womb, Sakumo's wife accepted the transplantation.

After the transplantation was completed, for safety reasons, Sakumo's wife was directly admitted to Konoha Hospital.

After a week of observation, Sakumo's wife showed no signs of rejection and her body noticeably improved.

Not only that, after Tsunade conducted the prenatal examination, she found that the vitality of the child in her womb became even more vigorous.

Upon hearing this news from Tsunade, Kizaru thought that perhaps Kakashi's future would be different.

In the original storyline, Kakashi was highly talented and had decent strength, but he had one flaw: his low chakra reserves.

Kakashi always suffered from low chakra reserves in battles, partly because he was burdened by the Sharingan given to him by Obito, and partly because his own chakra reserves were not high.

According to official data, which represents chakra reserves, Kakashi had a score of only six, barely considered above average.

Now, with the unexpected interference of Hashirama cells, Kakashi's future, his chakra reserves, should surpass his original self.

"What are you laughing at?" Putting down the prenatal examination data in her hand, Tsunade looked at Kizaru with curiosity.

"Just thinking about some interesting things," Kizaru replied with a smile.

"Kizaru, that old man's child is about to be born." Walking up to Kizaru, Tsunade reminded him with her hands in the pockets of her white coat.

"Oh, time flies!"

The future is becoming more and more interesting!

Standing beside Tsunade with a smile, Kizaru looked forward to the development of the ninja world in the future.

"The due date should be the day after tomorrow," Tsunade continued.

Nodding with a smile, Kizaru looked at Tsunade and asked knowingly, "Boy or girl?"

"Boy." Checking the gender of the fetus, with Konoha's medical technology, is very simple.

"Tsunade-senpai, do you prefer boys or girls?" Looking at Tsunade, Kizaru asked with a smile.

"Well..." After considering for a moment, Tsunade said, "I like both!"

"I hope our first child is a girl." Kizaru joked.

"Girls are nice too..." Tsunade replied instinctively, then realized what she had said, her cheeks turned red, and she felt a mixture of embarrassment and anger, "You jerk! Who said I want to have children with you?"

"You go die!" Burning with invisible anger, Tsunade clenched her fists.

Stepping briskly to Kizaru's side, Tsunade punched the wall next to him.

Glancing at the collapsed wall, then back at the furious Tsunade, Kizaru quickly said, "I'll only have children with you."

"Fix the wall for me!" retracting her fist, Tsunade crossed her arms over her chest and said coldly.

"I'll get someone to fix it."

"Hmph!"

With a snort, Tsunade turned and walked to the desk, ignoring Kizaru, the scoundrel.

"Tsunade-senpai, let's have dinner together tonight!" Following behind, Kizaru walked up to Tsunade's back.

"I want to drink! I want to gamble!" Tsunade threw a small tantrum, saying stubbornly.

"Come on, I'll treat you!" Hearing Tsunade wanting to gamble, even Kizaru, who had a few small goals in mind, felt a bit distressed.

After glaring at Kizaru, Tsunade took off her white coat and tossed it onto the table.

"Let's go!"

"Isn't it not time to get off work yet?" Looking at the clock on the wall next to the desk, which was already crooked, Kizaru kindly reminded her.

"I am the director, and I make the rules!" Tsunade said domineeringly.

After saying that, Tsunade reached out and pulled Kizaru's arm, ready to leave.

"That's too much!" Being pulled by the arm, following Tsunade passively, Kizaru complained.

"You're no better as the principal! Do you think I don't know? You start work at ten every day and finish at three." Tsunade said without a good temper.

"It seems that we are birds of a feather, conspiring together!" Kizaru said jokingly with a smile.

"You can't talk, so shut up!"

Under the gaze of colleagues and patients in the hospital, Tsunade half-pulled and half-dragged Kizaru, accelerating their pace, and left Konoha Hospital.
