A little while later, Piotr had his bags packed and was saying his goodbyes to his younger sister. It was clear that Charles had managed to convince them to let him come with them.
"We're ready, let's go" Charles said and almost instantly they vanished from the spot.
Reappearing the group found themselves standing before the Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters. They were just a few meters away from it, allowing them a full view of the school. This was done simply because a major part of any recruitment has always been to awe and inspire the subject of recruitment.
The Mutants didn't have much to their name that can be used to do that beyond the assets at the Institute and the institute itself. Genosha was an option but unfortunately, that nation was far too off limits to be used for such purposes.
No matter how special teleporting was, there was always a special feeling to being welcomed into the house by the homeowner. In this case, it allows the Mutants being welcomed to actually feel like they had found a place they belonged to.
"I'll be inside, when you all need me, just call" David said before immediately walking off.
He had nothing to say here and besides it was time to officially free the witches from their training and also there was also a small crisis that was going on. He wasn't allowed to help directly, the three faced golden bastard was bitter about everything… at least enough to actually cast a limitation this time.
Entering the mansion, David felt as though the entire house was empty. There were still children running up and down. Attending classes as they have always done. However he could find No one he had grown up with, David didn't even know how to feel about this at all.
They weren't present but he knew exactly where they were and how they were doing and truthfully they weren't doing fine at all but he couldn't do anything about it even if he tried.
"David!" A voice called out.
Turning around, David saw the ultimate douche in Marvel Comics, Cyclops, aka Scott Summers. Looking at the man before him, David felt the urge to kill and just rid the world of his existence.
"You know your thoughts do become reality right?" Scott said as he walked closer.
"If I wanted that, you would be suffering a different fate than what you are now" David noted.
He was angry at the uni-eyed mutant but even he could understand that it wasn't his fault. None of them could have ever anticipated what was happening now. He knew all that but he still wanted to pass the blame to someone.
"You should be more ashamed of yourself, you have the power to solve all this and yet you refuse to do anything. What makes you different from the enemies we face" Scott said
"…"
David had nothing to say in reply, committing the act and turning the other way when you see such an act being committed may be two different things but what difference was there really?. He had not only the power but also fore knowledge of the event, however he could do nothing no matter how he tried.
"He must be really angry huh?" David thought to himself.
This was an event that was far beyond him and must happen, a path set in stone so he could do nothing. There were some things he couldn't intervene with no matter what. Well there were many things but there were some that he could push through and there were like this one where all he could do was stand and watch.
Leaving the area, David kept walking and soon he came upon the living room and inside it was a bunch of new but still famous faces. The blue devil, the Nightcrawler; the furious beast from Canada, The Wolverine; the screaming demon, Banshee etc.
This was the second X-Men team.
"Is the professor back?" a man with a thick Japanese accent asked.
This was Sunfire, a Japanese mutant with the ability to project and control large amounts of plasma. Thinking about it, the name fit his powers well enough.
"Yes and he would be here to brief you all soon" David replied before standing by the side to wait.
"Just how dangerous is this mission, ja?" Nightcrawler asked
"As long as the opponent is a fellow mutant, you are always at the risk of losing your life, however if you train well enough and trust your teammates then you will raise and conquer all" David said.
Though the team was made in a hurry and had a lot of elements that would get them killed when it was time, he hoped that things would go well for them. That Golden bastard had restricted even his knowledge on this so he couldn't exactly see the future of anything related to this.
"After the briefing with the Professor, I would like everyone to proceed to the medical bay, you need to get tested, patched and suited up for the battle to come." David said before waiting.
