INTRODUCTION

My name is Atsuko Hiroshitu. I'm sixteen years old, and I'm about to begin a new chapter of my life at Kenzetu High.

At first glance, there's nothing particularly special about me. I'm a teenage boy with a relatively lean build, standing at an average height for my age. My black hair falls slightly over my forehead, sometimes getting in the way of my eyes when I don't bother fixing it. My face usually carries a calm, almost indifferent expression, making it difficult for others to tell what I'm thinking.

I don't talk much to people I don't know. It's not that I'm afraid of them or that I dislike having friends. I simply prefer observing people before deciding whether they're worth getting to know. I can be patient when something interests me, but I have little tolerance for people who deliberately make trouble or waste my time.

My eyes are usually dark, but there's something unusual about them. When I use my abilities, they glow a faint blue, revealing a side of me that I have spent years trying to keep hidden.

I've never fully understood the source of my powers. I know what I'm capable of, but knowing how to use an ability isn't the same as understanding where it comes from. No matter how much I've learned, I still feel as though something is missing.

Something important.

That's why I'm going to Kenzetu High.

I don't know what awaits me there, and I have no idea whether I'll find the answers I've been searching for. But I'm determined to uncover the truth about my abilities, even if doing so means facing things I don't yet understand.

There's just one problem.

For some reason, a strange red shadow has been following me.

And I have a feeling that whatever it wants from me is connected to the missing piece of my power.
