Huey's expression was as placid as a still lake in early winter as he stared at Tyla's pale face underneath the light. Then his lips parted as he a sharp groan wretched from his mouth.
He quickly grabbed his face as his vision seemed to spin — a sharp pain akin to a splitting headache pierced through his head like a needle.
Immediately, Tyla panicked as her eyes sharpened and grew wider.
"H-hey, are you okay?!"
She quickly reached out to him.
"...Yeah, I'm fine."
He wasn't. In actuality, Huey felt like shit, even words couldn't describe. Huey sighed as his expression turned slack. And the next thing he heard was Tyla's voice again.
"You look like crap." She said with a frown and for the first time, the edge of Huey's lips slightly pulled in wry smile.
'Feel like it too.' he mused inwardly, silently.
