All of a sudden, Jace lost sight of her and no matter how he scanned the area, he couldn't find her.
Just when he was getting worried and regretting why he didn't bring the bodyguards along, he saw her emerge from the middle of a group of children with her body all covered in sand, grinning cheekily like a little naughty girl.
He released a deep breath he wasn't aware he had been holding and sighed helplessly.
Was this girl trying to give him a heart attack?
He walked towards her and just as he got closer, Grace took to her heels again.
"Really? You are seriously in the mood to play around, right?" he said and went after her.
As Grace darted towards a cluster of rocks near the water's edge, her movements were graceful and agile as if she'd been playing the game all her life.
She glanced back again, seeing Jace closing in, and let out a playful squeal. She was fast, but Jace was even faster, probably because of his strong athletic abilities.
