Zhane was walking into something dangerous.
She didn't hesitate.
"Everyone, move out!" Cindy shouted over the deafening roar of the helicopter's propellers. Her voice barely carried, so she quickly switched to sharp hand signals, directing the team to prepare for immediate redeployment.
The helicopter banked hard, taking a wide turn before redirecting toward the city center. Up front, the co-pilot was already requesting clearance, reporting their use of an emergency flight route.
Inside the cabin, the atmosphere shifted instantly.
The veterans, former military, seasoned and efficient, moved in unison. Weapons were loaded. Magazines checked. Gear secured with practiced precision.
Cindy did the same, tightening her grip on her equipment, her expression set.
This time, she wasn't staying behind.
She was going in herself, closer, faster, so she could coordinate directly with Hera on the ground.
Because whatever Zhane had walked into…
They were about to walk into it, too.
