Abel stirred awake way after the sun was already up and going... he still felt drained despite just coming from sleep... the events of the previous day had beaten his mind black and blue, he just didn't want even the slightest strain of thinking.
Hilsa had left the restaurant in a burst of... what?... was it anger... pain, confusion... he couldn't tell which.

He knew... he had heard her voice when she yelled for him not to touch her, a girl who had been sleeping on his shoulders halfway through the journey from LA, what else could it be but hate?...
