Dimitri stared at his father. "What is that supposed to mean?"
"Are you even sure who you are at this point?" Mr. Petrov was beginning to lose his cool.
Dimitri's expression dropped. He stood up from the sofa and turned, proceeding to leave the room, but his father's words stopped him.
"Dimitri," Mr. Petrov said through tight teeth, "That USB is our destruction. It is the only thing that is guaranteed to ruin us and if any of the other mafia organizations get their hands on it, we are finished."
He looked at him. "Do you know how many people want us gone? Do you know how many are vying to be in our position? We rank only second to Caesar, what do you think that makes us? We rule above everyone except Caesar and what do you think the mafia is like? It's all about power. The more of it you have, the more you are able to use the others as your stepping stone."
His hands clenched into fists.
