The next few days, had me worried. It irked me that it was so easy to hurt someone who means so much to me in what is supposedly the safest place for young wizards, I mean Dumbledore is here. But it didn't matter that Dumbledore was here, Snape or Quirrel, one of them had cursed Harry and I knew it. And the more I thought about it the more pissed I got.
I've been wandering around the castle lately, more and more often, under the cover of the invisibility cloak. Ginny was worried about me and so were the others so I decided to wake them and go for a wander tonight. Ginny, Hermione, Ron, Harry, and I barely fit under the cloak, sometimes we trod on each other and sometimes our feet were visible but we were walking around on the third floor when we heard Filch.
"Someone's there you say, Ms Norris, Who could it be?!"
We ran for our lives, and we bumped into a locked door in front of us, while the others fumbled, Hermione and I pointed our wands and said "Alohomora!" The door opened and we cascaded inside. We took deep breaths and stayed silent till Filch was gone and we turned to see the inside of the room and that's when we knew we messed up. A three-headed dog stared us in the eyes, its teeth bared.
It began lashing at us and even almost caught Ron's robes. I thought long and hard, I had read about this. Aha, I remember. "If meeting a three-headed dog's in your fortune then make sure to pack a tune!" Fantastic Beasts and where to find them, Thank Newt I thought as I began to hum.
"Hmmmmmm, Sweet little Doggy, gets a tasty boney, he likes to eat baloney, a side dish of Macaroni, and his Italian uncle Gessepi, makes some Spaghetti!"
The dog was fast asleep and we filed out of the rooms as fast as we could under the cover of the cloak, we sat around the fire in the common room. Hermione, Ginny, and I had spotted a trapdoor and we thought of what it might be guarding.
"Treasure?!"
"Money?!"
"Oooooooo, something powerful and magic."
The truth was, we knew nothing and we grew impatient by the day, we had gone down to the room numerous times but we still couldn't get the dog to move its stupid paw. Well, the only person I could think of, who knew anything about animals was Hagrid so, one Friday afternoon we set off for his hut.
We banged on the door and Hagrid opened up, there was a smell of something roasting, potatoes and some kind of meat too. We sat in his hut, drank tea, and chatted small talk. Hagrid's hut honestly just makes some want to curl up and go to sleep, but I was a man on a mission, "Hagrid, we found a three-headed, guarding something, do you know how we could get it to move?"
"Blimey, Harry, you're a troublemaker, jus' like yer dad, how do you know about Fluffy, and no I won't tell you how to get past him, that's the whole point, so the Philosophers Stone is safe!" Hagrid moved his hand to his mouth and gasped, he had let out too much, to my delight and I sat there smiling for a few seconds, "Thanks Hagrid, we better go looking in the library for that stone thing now, bye!" I said cheekily.
Hagrid looked disappointed in himself as we ran out of the hut and back to the castle.
