When we were on the way, Blanche suddenly said something interesting.
"If you have the time, I'd love to study your mana!" she said.
"I'll do you one better," I replied as I clasped my hands together and compacted my mana to an extreme.
Within seconds, a full 15% of my mana was spent and I opened my hands to reveal a rose of pure mana.
"Voila, madame!"
"Woah, a flower..?! " her expression reddened ever so slightly as she picked it up.
"Don't mind the shape so much, it'll last for a week or two, so you can use it for research without worry and if it does start fading, just bring it back to me and I'll charge it up," I explained slowly with a smile.
Her expression changed several times before settling on a smile as she put away the rose.
"Thank you, Cassian." She said gently.
"Don't mention it."
As random as my actions and choices seemed, that was when I was truly at peace, doing whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. Was that not why I received another life?
