The chaos in town when the prizes were announced caused an instant flood of Immortals to the Darklight Host.
It was still nearly a week away, but those who had linked their cities with a portal knew that the hotels would fill up fast, and they wanted to get the good rooms instead of checking the board for room shares or bed and breakfast options run by the Guild members.
There would be plenty of those, Lycans were pack creatures, and they loved taking people in.
The problem was that the love of taking people in, and the ability to cook didn't always go together, and it was rude to turn down breakfast from the hosts. So, if they served you something that was borderline inedible, you just had to pick at it and tell them you had a light appetite in the morning.
That wasn't much of an issue among the Blackwoods Pack. There were cooking lessons available to anyone who wanted them, and there was a small army of people who had actual chef skills.
But the visitors didn't know that.
