With Dana immersed in her work, Remi and Socrate spent the next half hour immersed in their search for new knowledge, but only found a few books that they didn't already have in their possession.
They brought them to the counter to purchase them anyhow, and were given a duplicate from the storage room, while the display copy was placed in a cart, to be returned to its shelf.
That was a curious process to Remi. But it wasn't difficult to understand.
The Library books were for reading in the Library, and if you needed to keep one, you bought a duplicate that the Librarians had made.
That way the shelves stayed full, and everyone could come here to research.
With their purchases made, the pair went to wait by the writing section for Dana to finish what she was doing, and to check out a few of the Romance titles, in case there was something Opal would appreciate.
