The Totems watched in silence as Karl finished the trial tower. Or perhaps this one should be called a trial cathedral, given the shape. Either way, it was definitely shaping up to be a proper trial, and when Karl began to finalize the spells, he found that he was missing a vital aspect for the effect.
"Mom, I'll need to step away for just one moment. I need to use a transformation skill to finish the work." He explained.
While she didn't understand what he meant, she still let Karl leave her with Dana as he moved to a large open area.
Then, the shocking part began.
