Fu Mingyu returned to his villa in the west of the city and slept like a log.
When he opened his eyes, the sky outside was dim, leaving him unsure whether it was getting dark or nearing dawn.
Stretching lazily, Fu Mingyu reached for his phone on the bedside table. Before he could check the time, the screen lit up, flashing the name "Fu Zhenning."
"Hello, Dad..."
Answering the call, Fu Mingyu asked loudly, "What's up?"
"It's the weekend today, come home for dinner."
On the other end, Fu Zhenning's voice was gentle, as if afraid Fu Mingyu would refuse. He continued, "I have something to talk to you about."
"Can't it be said over the phone? Or in the office on Monday?"
The thought of returning to that home made Fu Mingyu a bit impatient.
"I told you to come back, so just come back. What's with all the fuss? The whole family is waiting for you to have dinner. That's it, hanging up now..."
Without allowing any objection, Fu Zhenning hung up the phone.
