"Did he get my message?" Queen Opaline asked Matilda who stood at the side of the room.
"Yes," Matilda answered with a bow. "But your majesty," Matilda said and Queen Opaline looked at her with a raised brow, "don't you think he will suspect you?"
Queen Opaline raised her brows higher and said, "Are you dumb? Who doesn't know I have a dislike towards that lowly servant? Wouldn't this be my chance to get rid of her for good? Why would I hire someone to abduct her on the way? Even the magistrate officer knows better."
Matilda gave a deep bow and said, "Forgive me for speaking such nonsense, your majesty."
The Queen raised a hand, dismissing her and Matilda turned around and left the room. Queen Opaline tilted her head a bit to the side almost immediately and she suddenly raised her eyes towards the door.
"Is anyone there?" she asked aloud.
The door opened immediately and a guard rushed inside with his head bowed.
