Chapter 1 - The Whispers of light

Chapter 1

The Orphanage of the Fallen Stars of the North was not merely cold; it was a monument to neglect, a gray stone mansion that seemed to suck the warmth and joy out of the world. The fog that rolled in from the Wailing Swamp was a perpetual curtain, obscuring the outside world and trapping those within its damp walls.

Here lived Ikasa.

Ikasa was a walking mystery, an anomaly even among the orphans whose stories were already tragic. He had hair of deep violet that contrasted strangely with his olive green eyes, which were so intense they seemed to hold ancient secrets. What was strangest, however, was the aura around him. Not a visible magical aura, but an undeniable icy serenity, as if the chaos of the orphanage and the coldness of the world outside simply bounced off him, unable to reach him.

> "Sister Amelia used to call me 'the Untouched'," Ikasa thought, as he polished the dusty library windows, feeling the ache of the rag against his hands. "She said I was 'blessed,' but here I am, cursed with buckets and cloths."

>

His origins were a complete mystery, a blank page that not even the most talented bards of the Mid-City could fill.

His life was a monotonous melody of chores and forgettable lessons. His only spark of interest came from the small, poorly maintained library books, especially those that spoke of the theoretical concept of fotons—the manifestation of Light as pure photons.

The Tome of Singularity

On a dreary afternoon, as the rain lashed against the orphanage windows, Ikasa found a white leather tome hidden deep within the forgotten shelves. It had no title, only an enigmatic symbol: a radiant circle, the symbol of the Singularity.

Upon touching it, Ikasa felt an unexpected warmth travel through his fingers. The tome was not written in the common dialect of the Mid-City. The pages were filled with archaic glyphs and complex diagrams that Ikasa could not read, yet he understood.

It was as if the words were translated directly to his soul, activating memories of a language he never knew he possessed—a language of geometry and potential.

> The star does not seek light ; he IS the point of Singularity. Manifestation occurs by projecting the Inner Void, shaped by Unconscious Geometry, to emit the Essential Light (Photons).

>

The first line struck him with the force of a silent thunderclap. The tome did not speak of spells, but of the Geometry of Consciousness, the nature of the Self as a focus of creation.

The Awakening of the Essence

The deepest section described a meditation to activate the inner Singularity. It was not about summoning Mana, but about clearing the mind into the Void so that the desired geometric form could manifest freely.

Ikasa sat down. He closed his eyes, focusing on the center of his chest. He sought the void.

He felt the cold, then the smell of mildew. Then, in his chest, a faint pulse began—a point of absolute zero radiating potential.

Focusing, he visualized the simplest geometric form his unconscious mind could conceive, a pure act of will: a perfect sphere.

Suddenly, the Singularity reacted. The geometric sphere, the pure model of his desire, was projected into his mind. An ethereal whisper resonated within his soul:

"Forma... Essentia... Photons..."

Ikasa opened his eyes. In his hand, hovering inches above his palm, was a pulsing sphere of light. It was not a flame. It was Pure Light, a concentration of stable photons—a pure emission of energy shaped by the geometric form of his will.

He felt a deep and undeniable connection to it. With a thought, he elongated it, and it turned into a cone of light that illuminated the dark library. With another thought, he released the form, and the photons dispersed into the air.

His olive green eyes widened with awe and understanding. He had no Mana, yet his mind had projected a perfect geometry, activating his Singularity to emit Pure Light.

Ikasa whispered, looking at the tome. "Magic is the geometry of the unconscious."

>

The truth of his origins, and the fundamental power slumbering within him, had finally been awakened.
