With Dominique's help, Sasha met Ashton. The three of them were supposed to hang out together in Dominique's old house. However, only the two of them came. Dominique didn't show up.
'Did Dominique deliberately arrange this so that I could talk to Ashton alone?' Sasha pondered to herself.
Ashton was preparing some snacks in the kitchen while Sasha stayed in the living room, still waiting for Dominique to arrive. She kept contacting him, but his phone was unattended.
She could feel the awkward atmosphere surrounding them. Ashton was unusually quiet, just focusing his attention on cooking.
Sasha was stealing glances at him from time to time, wondering how she would engage in a conversation with him without feeling awkward.
She swallowed hard nervously when Ashton returned to the living room, holding a bowl of popcorn he had just cooked.
"Hasn't he arrived yet?" He finally spoke up, placing the popcorn on the coffee table.
