When Lucinda and Damon reached the French Quarter in New Orleans, Lucinda was amazed by the site which was amazing to die for, they start they tour at the Colonial Architecture to get the history of the Quarter but on that day there was a March Gras Celebrations which they joined then headed to the Jackson square to St. Louis Cathedral to pay his respects.
Lucinda got hungry.
"Are you hungry?" Damon asks
"Yes" Lucinda smiles with her eyes
"Why didn't you say so"
"I didn't wonna disturb you, you seemed you were having so much fun"
"Telling me what you want is not disturbing"
"Damon it's fine"
"Lucinda, please don't act holy around me, I am your best friend not your boyfriend"
"Hmmm" she looks at him with narrow eyes.
"I am just saying to not be shy with me, ok?" he give her calm eyes which softens her.
"Ok" she said with a warm and soft smile Damon and Lucinda head to the restaurant to get something to eat.
At Cape Meade a tall, sender, waiter comes to take their order
"Hello, my name is Rod and I will be taking your order today"
"Hey Rod, how are you doing?"
"Good" he smiles
"I will have a chicken salad" Damon orders and Rod writes it down.
"And for the beautiful lady" Lucinda bites her lip
" For me I will have the Flambe"
"Wonderful choice" he says
"It will be ready in five minutes"
"Thank you"
"Anytime" Rod winks at Lucinda and she blushes, he leaves.
"I see someone has a secret admirer" Damon says smiling
"Who….me? Naaaa"
"Lucinda, you are such a beautiful girl"
"Damon, his not my type"
"Because you're so madly in love with Cole"
"No!!!"
"Lucinda, however much you try, Cole will never be yours"
"You think I don't know that"
"Why do you try to bring him close to you" she goes silent looking down in shame, he lets out a big sigh.
"Please don't be like that"
"But it's true"
"Am sorry if I made you feel that way, I love you and I was just looking out for you" she remains silent
"Please don't be mad at me" he continues
"No, it's fine, am not mad at you"
Before Lucinda can finish what she's saying Rod returns with they meals. He places each meal Infront of them.
"Thank you" Lucinda says
"It's my pleasure" Rod replies with a simple smirk and leaves.
As Lucinda and Damon are talking while eating enjoying themselves, Lucinda starts feeling uncomfortable like a pair of eyes are watching her but she shakes off the feeling.
In the corner of her eyes meets Cole walking into the restaurant. She rolls her eyes and looks down shyly.
"What wrong?" Damon asks
"Speak of the devil" pointing to the entrance of the restaurant, he quickly turns to see Cole and rolls his eyes.
"Everywhere you look, you see him there" Lucinda laughs.
