At the year-end Sect examination, Mo Hua performed consistently, with one A and six Cs, nothing surprising or disappointing.
The six 'Cs' were because he could only get a C.
But that one 'A' was different.
He got the 'A' because the Formation assessment by the Taixu Gate could only grade up to 'A'.
This 'A' was of high value, truly a "single grace that masks a hundred flaws", but unfortunately, it couldn't be reflected on the paper.
Mo Hua felt regretful.
After the examination, as per usual, Mo Hua wrote a letter home.
The letter was long-winded, saying many things, but mostly about how peaceful the Sect was, how harmonious the same sect members were, how kind the teachers were, and how the people near the Qianxue State Boundary were good-hearted, reassuring words for his parents.
He didn't mention any dangerous matters, to avoid worrying his parents.
After writing it, Mo Hua sent the letter out through the post station of the Taixu Gate.
