"I fell asleep."
"Hmm, sleep inside."
He looked down at her, loving the way she looked just waking up—confused and endearingly silly, like a kitten. So adorable.
"No need, I'll sleep right here."
She wanted to stay by his side, even while asleep, feeling a strong sense of security.
"Be good, it's more comfortable inside."
Mark Reed took a few large strides to the door of the lounge, kicked it open, and placed Valentine Teller on the recliner. He took off her shoes and pulled a thin blanket to cover her, then sat down beside her, gently stroking her delicate cheek.
Unable to resist, he took her sweet lips, savoring her sweetness.
After a long moment, he reluctantly left her lips, having to go out to continue his work, he stood up.
"You sleep, I'll be outside."
"Okay, you go!"
Her hand emerged from the blanket and waved, watching him close the door before closing her eyes.
