"Just moved into the hospital today? Did they mention what the illness is?"
Mark Reed got up, walked to the window, and gazed at the city in the night. The face in his mind was that of Valentine Teller.
He would definitely protect her; she could only trust him.

Mark Reed's lips curled into a cold smile; those are all deceitful things.
"Yeah, just moved into the hospital today. We won't know the test results until next week." Valentine Teller thought for a moment and added, "But my little sister looks very frail, like she's been bedridden for a long time."
Valentine Teller's words confirmed his suspicion further.
Mark Reed replied indifferently, "Got it. Keep company with my uncle and aunt. I'll come pick you up on Sunday."
"If you're busy, you don't have to come pick me up. I can take the high-speed train back."
Feeling sorry to make him run around, Valentine Teller thought taking the high-speed train would work just as well.
